NEWS: X3 goes to E3

It's that time of year again, and if you are lucky enough to attend this years E3 Gaming Expo at the Los Angeles Convention Center in the United States of America, then you will have the opportunity to have a sneak peek at the upcoming Egosoft game; X³: Reunion.

The game will be shown in various places across the convention. We have included maps of the locations and see the below list for the booth locations that the X³ will be available for preview at:

Public Booths:
  • Deep Silver – South Hall, Booth 724
  • Games for Windows – South Hall, Booth 1068
Private Booths:
  • Enlight – West Hall, Booth 2576

We will keep this list updated, and we hope to hear news from the E3 Expo during the event.

Yes... I know of 2 other games I have been watching and both developers promised intro footage on the very day that e3 starts.Downloadable from thier website hint,hint :D

E3 is a trade event, and is not open to the general public.
Since I live and work here, how do I get in??

The simple answer is that you can't. However, looking at the info page, there is a pavillion set up close by:
People’s Pavilion

While E3 is not open to the public, Microsoft’s Games for Windows team has a solution for anyone who wants to get in on the action: “The People’s Pavilion.”

Anyone who wants a chance to experience some E3 excitement can stop by the Games for Windows People’s Pavilion to play games that will be hitting store shelves very soon such as “F.E.A.R.,” “Half-Life 2: Lost Coast,” “Dungeon Siege II,” “MotoGP”, “URT3“ and “The Sims: Nightlife.” Free and open to the public, with hot dogs and soda provided, the People’s Pavilion tent is located across the street from the Los Angeles Convention Center at 601 Pico Blvd at Figueroa St.

AFAIK, X3 will NOT however be at this stand (these are late beta and release candidate stage games).

I got me a passport . . . since I'm going to be a journalist (hopefully!) I think X3 would be great to go into, as I'm really aiming to get in to the games sectors . . . I WISH I COULD GO! I mean, the devs. of just about every major game in the world gather here, put up, like, small cinemas, sets, props, plasma screens, surround sound . . . blow a fortune on E3, just for other devs.!!??? The public should be allowed in, at least, in my opinion. Luckily, PC Zone has a huge article on the matter next week . . .

America gets E3 because it is the center of the gaming industry. In fact, it's the center of the world for that matter. You can't fault America for being superior to you.
