Man, I loved that interwiev....
Also nice to hear you have a guy to help you with the plot, I hope it will rock.

Its both nice and nerve wrecking the way the developers constantly avoid telling to much about the game.

Just leaves me so exited for more!!! I don't think I've ever looked so much forward to a game release.

any news from ego regarding release date ? are they on course for the projected release date? no delays or put back release dates?.

Still like to know how the game will link. Will you be able to keep your previously built empire, must you start again from scratch, will all the Mods be supported/built in to the expansion, i.e the Glaxy traders, AI improvements (like gunners) or will we still have to download 10 Scripts to bring the game up?

in the interview with one of egos top bods (bernd) i thik i remeber him stating that one of the big issues was save game compatability and i think they will allow you to take your save game into the retrun :)

Did I see it right? :o That Unknown ship is a Goner, both in ID-code as in live expectancy (no shields, very low hull, and missile closing). Just dont tell me we start X²-TR with a crappy Buster. :(

If X2-TR is a follow on, then at least one should be able to start the Game from where one left of in the first story line, in a max'd M3 with all the bell's and whistles and loads of credits.

Thats if one follow's on from where one left of with 'Daddy' in his sick bed. :(

I intend to start a new game and play to the Stories End, before the Return is released, so I can continue with the Story line 'Hope this is Possible'. :?

TotalVideoGames is a great fan of the X2 series which is already building into a great franchise and with this expansion pack due early in 2005, along with a stand alone X2 title to follow.


Does that mean at the bottom of the quote there that there will be another x2 game like x2: the xxxxx after the return? Or is it meaning x2 the return will BECOME a standalone game as in X2: Gold?

Looked to me like you get a Goner ship WITH WEAPONS!

That bit about them not being able to fight for themselves, and thats a Goner ship you're in when you get the "Thanks for your help with this invader" message.
