joystick Saitek X-55 rhino, no way to configure the buttons

I have the x-55 joystick Saitek rhino and when I want to configure a button, 15 button automatically adds a place of rest. I manage to configure the axes but not the buttons because it's always the button that appears 15 whatever the command that I enter. With the first version of rebirth I could just set it worked. I have not played for months and to my surprise it does not work probably because of updates to the game. I really want to play with this brand new joystick. Is the game works with track ir 5 I just buy it?

Is button 15 on your joystick in the on position / stuck ?

have you tried using the Saitek profile software to program the joystick http://www.saitek.com/uk/blog/index.php ... -software/

My thrust master warthog works very well. I use the software to set it to Rebirth's defaults. I find it easy compared most game control configuration screens.

its with the new patch of the game i think...

Button 15, 16, 17 & 32 are the mode switch positions, 15 16 & 17 are under the stick and 32 is under the throttle. Because of the constant signal from the mode switch its impossible to configure the X-55 and the -ignorejoy command that worked in X3 for this kind of thing doesnt work in XR for me any more, in this thread it seems like it used to work whether this was an oversight in XR 3.0 I can't say.

Yeah a patch to re-implement or fix the -ignorejoy command would be the quick fix. Not sure what other options there might be for a more long term fix.

In your joysticks profile software can you set the mode switch button to "do nothing" or "Null" ?

with the thrustmaster I have my mode / toggle switches set to "NULL" Output they still switch the mode but send no key presses to the game

looked all over to try and find a way to disable it couldn't find a way anywhere, there really should be a way too though.

Found a solution. Save a profile then open the profile in a text editor like Notepad++ find both

          [button=0x00090010 name='Mode 2' latchable=false]
          [button=0x00090011 name='Mode 3' latchable=false]]

and delete it all, then load the profile and enjoy no constant signal from the mode switch.

this is a horrible way to setup the X55.

Very sad that the devs haven't fixed this issue since last September.

Sigh, I did attempt to try this game as I just noticed a new patch. Correct, devs still have not fixed this for the x-55 stick.... back to Star Citizen and DCS world

I managed to make it work almost perfectly.

Just go to the programming software and open the programming section for the stick and change the view to grid view.

Then right click on one of the modes boxes and select "no buttons".

Now when you have your throttle set to another mode than the one that has no buttons on it it works i dont know why but it does.
