Okay so I boarded the Taranis, got my engineer to fix the damage and a defense officer for the guns so ship would appear ready to go. Just one slight issue. I have no jump fuel. So my Taranis refuses to follow me through to the next zone and instead gives a message 'no jump fuel.' So using MCE i told it to hold position in the area with the HoA ships and I've flown around IDing stations and trying to find a place to buy 'fuel cells' but I can't find it. So I progressed the plot a little bit and now have my Rahanas and constructor ship safe, but my constructor ship has no fuel either..
Questions:
1. Does anyone know where to get jump fuel in Inner World?
2. Is there a way to transfer freight between ships, could I just move some of my jump fuel from my Rahanas to my Taranis?
3. Should I bother looking for fuel for my construction ship which is in Lookout Alpha?
TIA.

Iirc, the fuel stations are PMC owned, so you may trouble buying from them. I don't recall exactly where they are though
Under normal circumstances, with fuel, a jump drives takes ~20 seconds to spool up and ~60 seconds to recharge. With no fuel, they will jump, but after 10 minutes (or so I've read, never actually waited
).
And yes, you will need that construction ship. It's special.

Don't stress over the construction ship. It's invulnerable. Just don't sell that ship as it is unique and vital for the plot.

Yes select option 2, jump with no fuel.
You should only issue the refueling in Fervid Corona, where the refueling station is.
The other refueling stations in Albion (1 in each sector) are owned by PMC, and each have 2 big guns that can take out your ship in no time.
I would just leave the Taranis where it is, (after lingering for 10 minutes in order to clear any PMC patrols) and sell it for the much needed cash to buy additional/better marines and for the construction of the forge.

Well I thought I'd report back in case anyone else runs into a similar issue. When the captain tells you there isn't enough jump fuel - click the portrait - a menu appears where you can tell the captain to jump without fuel. It does work, took about 10 minutes as mentioned above.
Makes me wonder what other dialog options might be hidden in the game. Will have to try clicking on the police portait next time they report me for returning fire on plutarch.

Selling it gives you enough money to buy resources needed to build the station for the plot (at least, those that you can buy and don't have to board freighters to get), fully upgrade your ship, and get a full stack of veteran & elite marines so you can capture more ships.zanzal wrote:Good advice everyone. But really sell it? I haven't got a chance to wreck any plutarch ships with it yet. Guess I'll try the 10 minute jump... Sounds a lot like wishful thinking, but we'll see.
Once you've got your ship upgrades and marines sorted out, there'll be more Taranises in the future to play with.

This is way too late for you, but in case anyone else concerned about refueling their Taranis stumbles across this thread, I'd like to correct VincentTH. There are, in fact, non-PMC refueling stations in Albion that you can use. The ones I've discovered are in the following locations:
- Ascendancy/Forlorn Armory, owned by Heart of Ablion
- Far Out/Gemstone Manufacture, owned by Heart of Ablion

Also, if you command the Captain to "refuel" they will go to a station, even if you have not explored it. Like status = "Landing at unknown station", Ha.
They seem to be smart enough to not go to enemy stations, but they might fly past one and get a few "dents".
