1.15 = Patch Number and NEW FPS!!!

Post by Mousejockey »

1.15 has all of a sudden caused a drop in frame rate on my system.

1.14 I was getting 20-25 FPS now I am getting 5 - 7 FPS... I'm actually hitting ZERO FPS at times!!!

WTF?

It's totally unplayable for me now.

My Win7 64 Bit, 8 Gb Ram, Nvidia GTX 690 runs every other game on my system lightning fast... but not this X-Garbage...

My Nvidia Optimus based Alienware laptop is now playable in the new patch, I no longer have to play on my desktop, so.... strange results between our experiences.

My perfomance went from very good to unplayable, especially directly after loading a game.

My specs:
i5 3470 3.20GHz
8GB DDR3 RAM
Nvidia GTX 560 1GB DDR3 (Drivers: 331.82)
Win7 64bit

Like I've said, almost perfect perfomance before patch with high settings and now bad perfomance with medium to low settings.

Be sure that the Nvidia Optimus software activated your correct GPU to run the game.

I still can't see the correct card in game. However, it is most certainly running on the correct one (so it did before this patch, but had to force all settings from the card).

Guessing ego using dxdiag to pick up available cards or something from the type.

Also have Radeon 5700 series, and I don't see any difference on 1.15.

Radeon HD 7950 - never had any issues on high quality settings...

Ok - with one exception. In 1.1.4 I had very low fps just after loading the savegame but after a minute it stabilized and everything works fine again.

Seems a bit nvidia specific to me.

^^^ I think you're right. I have a GTX 660, the game ran smooth as silk prior to this last patch. Now I'm getting intermittent fps drops.

The vanilla high-end-rig-low-fps posters were also vast majority if not all Nvidia users. I run AMD crossfire setup and haven't had a framerate dip below, I'm guessing 30, everything maxxed out completely.

This may or may not help (worked for me) but it's worth a whirl:

Nvidia Control Panel
Manage 3D settings
Global settings tab
Preferred graphics processor from auto select to your Nvidia
Apply

If you have a NVidia card, be sure that your correct GPU is selected. The poster above you has written down the steps.
