The ability to draft on highways is kind of cool. I can see a few 'chase the ship' missions ahead, possibly even a space race.

Edit: And that's as far as I've got in the manual. Back to reading...

Ty Agnotos :)

that's interesting the manual implies:
- you can look around in FP/Platform mode but not when in flight mode i.e. in the cockpit

The controls seem a lot more streamlined than past games.

A gravity wake - Interesting concept. I'm assuming you can GW behind slower ships as well so-as to admire the view?

Admire the view, jam a missile up their clacker, use your speed advantage to run away. :)

...don't like this one. But it might not be a big deal depending on where you can enter the superhighways? I'm still rather confused on how a sector will be structured when regarding travel within it, and from sector to sector?

1) The Skunk can accomodate 20 marines and their commander? God, this ship is BIG. Or, these marines are SMALL.

2) The Katana is a fighter??????

After reading "Factions" section, I finally understand why I had to hunt for Xenon L in AP for so long... and what effects it had on the universe :)

According to the manual, you no longer will be required to select a destination for trades? So basically the entire details are prearranged depending on what trade-ship(s) you decide to select?

Sector A to Sector B travel is via a Superhighway

Traveling inside a sector means traveling between Zones either using a highway or in theory normal flight (you'll need to discover that for yourself), or exiting a highway looking for deep space things of interest.

Systems are supposedly a group of Sectors and imply larger distances so perhaps jump drives or jump gates

So if I understand correctly the Universe is made up of Systems which is made up of Sectors which is made up of Zones and freedom to explore between Zones. I don't believe you can explore between Sectors or Systems though...
