Question about the upgrade abillities of the Albion ship.

Ive had a good look around and unless I am going a bit dence in the brain pan I cant see what I'm about to ask.

The Albion player ship. When you upgrade the ship obviously it changes the ships abillities the more you upgrade depending on the players needs. Will these changes be reflected physically in game. Ie: the Albion ship will look vastly different towards the end of the game as it did in the beginning

An example ive dabbled in a game called Black Prophecy, now the fighter ship you start with can be upgraded and changed a lot over the course of the game. Wings, engines, weapons, hull armour, shields, cockpit all changable, so the ship I have has the rough look of the starter vessel but with all the changes the ship I have now looks a lot different.

Will something be like this in Rebirth?

PS: is there a screenshot of the Albion?

I dont think so (although we know very little at this point).

To me the Skunk looks less of a fighter craft, and more of a corvette or light frigate. I cant imagine that we'd be making changes to the physical structure of the ship (and TBH welding wings on sounds a bit silly, IMHO). But Sub-systems and turrnets will me changable.

TBH, I'd be a lot more intested to see if the modifications to the ship change anything on the interior (since the ship will be explorable now).

So putting in a few fancy flight compute, will my cockpit view change?

Skunk doing a dramatic exit here although that is a mirror image of the ship pic used here.

I was generalising in my description, using it as an example. The ship in XR is a different ballgame, I was just wondering if its in game mod-abillity was to be similar.

@ Alan, thanks its a pretty cool design. i can see lots of potencial for different configurations with the ship. Thanks. :)

Here is a picture of the back side of the ship as well.

I hope there are visual upgrades available, because I'm not really too keen on how the ship looks at the moment.

I hope it does change visually with the upgrades... just like another game I played called Darkstar one. You could upgrade it to be more fighter like, stealth like or carrier like.
I always went for carrier upgrades (turrets) first, then engine for what was left.
Editing posts since long before I remember.

Visual customization would be welcome in my opinion. As well, I'd like the ability to modify the paint job of the ship, Both in color and pattern.

Another thing high on my wish list would be the option of a corporate logo of our own design to be placed on all player owned ships if so desired.

Yeah. That was really missing from the corprate ships in TC / AP.. A corp logo.
