Will we see multiplayer features?

This is just what I've been craving for since I expirienced the X univers the first time. But one thing I'm missing is a multiplayer aspect of it, so my question is: Will we see this feature in X - Rebirth?

No, wrong what I know they'd like to do it, but it's simply too big a step for rebirth

I think Bernd said in an interview that they would really like to make X multiplayer, but that it was not possible up to now. He also said that X:R is a step in the direction of multiplayer, so maybe the next X game?
