[Mod add-on/minimod] XTC tinkerings

This is a quick mod that adds a few ships and replaces some models. none of the modeling work is mine, if you like, please direct praise to the respective originators of this content, whom are listed below.
Idea and Deadly of DDTC
Cadius and his X-tra pack
the New Horizons Mod
Shipexpansion mod
and, of course, the XTC team for general awesomeness.

Complete list of changes below (organized even!)

New ships added:
-OTAS M7+ Lotan Light destroyer (Argon Hv. frig from New Horizons)
-Paranid M7+ Proteus Light Destroyer (Paranid Hv. frig from New Horizons)
-Paranid M2 Daedalus Heavy Destroyer (Paranid M0 from New Horizons)
-Split M7+ Acinonyx Light Destroyer (Split Hv. frig from New Horizons)
-Teladi M7+ Pteranodon Light Destroyer (Teladi Hv. frig from New Horizons)
-Teladi M1+ Enhanced Phoenix (Teladi Phoenix M0 from New Horizons)
-Atlas M7 (Hakata from Caduis' pack)
-Singularity M2 (Daimyo from DDTC)
-Quasar M2 (Typhon from DDTC)
-Patroclus M2 (Chronos from DDTC)
-Nexus M7 (Ragnarok from DDTC)
-Talon TL (Rhino from DDTC)
-Solaris M6+ (Orpheus from DDTC)
-Geochen Hauler TL+ (Cetus MK2 from DDTC)
-Forseti M2 (loki in DDTC)

Ship model replacements (this is the largest category, and has subcatagories.) All of these replacements have attendant stat changes, many are hybridized between the originating mod's stats and those of XTC.

Stock egosoft and XTC model replacements:
- Vali model replaced with Cadius' Kvasir and changed it to M7 class.
-Argon Cerberus turned into Cadius' Cyclops
-stock ATF modles replaced with Cadius' racial-turret versions (M1/2, M6/7)
-stock ATF fighters changed to Cadius' (Hel, Verdandi, and Mani)
-Aegir replaced with cadius' Snotra
-Split capitals changed to Cadius' Racial-turret versions
-stock Raptor replaced with Cadius' Anaconda
-Tiger frig changed to the Adder model from Cadius
-both split 'vettes and the misslie frig and drone frig changed to Cadius racial-turret models
-Teladi Albatross replaced with cadius' racial turret version
-stock Condor replaced with Cadius' Cormorant
-stock Emeussorry guys, I just don't like it much. replaced with Cadius' Pterodon
-Teladi Shrike replaced with cadius' Raven
-teladi Gannet replaced with caduis' Talon
-ALL the terran caps (M1/M2/TL) replaced with Cadius' equivalent (Saitama, ETC) yes I know they're from nexus but they look better than the stock caps. alot better.
-Scimitar replaced with Cadius' Falchion, watch out!
-terran cutlass replaced with Cadius' Excalaber fighter
-Saber changed to Kopesh from caduis
-Rapier is now the Advanced Rapier from X-tra
-Katana changed to X-tra Naginata
-yokohama changed to Amori patrol from X-tra
-Nagoya changed to the Sendi-B from X-tra
-Q replaced with the X-tra C cruiser

additionally, in lieu of XTC TP+ models, some shuffling was done to replace a few of the Hyperion placeholder models:
-the OTAS Mistal is now Cadius' version of it, while the stock SF model it had been using is now the Argon Phantom. stats are Identical otherwise.
-Ocelot changed to Cadius' Drake model, with attendant performance envelope changes. stats somewhere between the two.
-Mani changed to Cadius' version of the Katana, hybridized performance envelope.

Added one station, Cadius' Teladi Asteroid base, as a 'Pirate Base'

Station Model Replacements:
-changed the Terran EQ dock to Cadius' orbital Frieght Dock
-changed the terran MB to cadius' Terran HQ model
-changed Terran tradedock to Cadius' comm facility model
-changed the Federal Argon Warf to DDTC's old SY model
-changed the Depot model to DDTC's asteroid-base (The small one, not the hooj one)
-changed Headquarters model to cadius' Terran asteroid base model
-changed the Pirate Base model to the other small asteroid facility in DDTC
-changed one of the Terran ODS's to cad's Terran military base model and the other to his Terran orbital defense station model
-changed the player-owned version of the terran shipyard to caduis'
-the Teladi EQ dock now uses Cadius' model
-changed Teladi Militarily base to Cadius' Teladi Shipyard model.
-all EQ docks have been changed to their respective SY models, and all MB are now respective Warfs. (except Teladi Terran, and Argon)

I also gave TL's a sane amount of shielding and bumped up the storage bins on the T0's a bit. no other changes.

now a note: some of these ships aren't set up for XTC's pretty engine glows, and I've no idea how to do so. if you know how and do change this, please, put up the altered model or scene (or both) file(s) somewhere so I can replace the ones being used right now. none of the new ships will spawn on their own, or appear in shipyards. if a scripter wants to fix that, go right on ahead, but again, please put it up somewhere so I can use it in future versions.
all the model replacements spawn properly. no need to worry there.

I make no claim on any of the models in this minimod. they are the work of other people, all I've done is put them together in an XTC-friendly way. Further, kindly do not complain on the XTC thread if this mod breaks your game. I am not part of the XTC team, and this is by no means an official XTC release. this mod was written to work with XTC version 1.1, I cannot guarantee it will work with any other version.

***Edit***Oh, I was just coming on here to remove the link... realized I uploaded the wrong version, and it's all glitchy 'cause I was halfway through getting it clear of any non-original content (or content, like the Shipexpansion stuff, that states it can be used provided credit is given) pending me asking. but it wouldn't matter anyhow, since the removed linky was a bollixed version anyway! :P
I suppose I should clarify: the version I intend to upload only contained Types files, as well as a readme explaining how to make stripped-down versions of the .cats of the dependent mods. now that I've got internet again (read: stupid E-billing didn't work and the internet cut off) I'll go around and ask folks if they mind. after all, it only takes one button press to remove content people don't want spread around. :roll:
now If you'll excuse me, I've gotta finish this text resource so none of the XTC content needs to be replaced.
in the meantime, go play XTC, DDTC or X-tra! or all of them!

Given the nature of X3 modding, there's really no way around editing /types/ files.
Distributing ship models or lasers / sounds / effects is a no go unless the creator gave you permission.

Personally I think it could get rather messy with ships from different mods being compatible with different lasers.
The laser data and compatibility masks would be all over the place.
