Have a great idea for the current or a future game? You can post it in the [L3+] Ideas forum.

Yep, and just as the Borg queen was smugly congratulating herself on gaining full understanding of the replicator technology, she'd suddenly relise that they had now fully infested and seized control of the cube, having replicated to unmanageably large numbers.brucewarren wrote:The bugs would be assimilated in short order.
The asgard had pretty much full understanding of how the replicators worked, and yet they still couldn't stop them.
No reason to suppose the borg would have any more luck.

I think though that even if the replicator numbers grew into the millions, they would still have been assymilated (spelling?) and therefore would still be connected to the hive mind, and still be under borg control. They would just become one of the borg's ultimate features. Imagine indestructable borg which can just rebuild instantly even if their whole cube was blown to pieces.

I'm not sure about the legality of this suggestion but, given the Chuck reference, I give you, IMO, CBJ's finest hour
I urge you to appreciate the humour of this and to refrain from trying to replicate that thread, 'cos you know it won't last if you do.

Which leads us to the inevitable conclusion that CBJ is going to rip Chuck Norris's arms out of their sockets, and beat both Borg and Replicators to death with the soggy ends whilst locking this thread with an evil glare.berth wrote:I'm not sure about the legality of this suggestion but, given the Chuck reference, I give you, IMO, CBJ's finest hour

That's a nice idea, however assimilating one human doesn't automatically give you control over the entire human race. So it is with the replicators. Each block is a seperate independant entity. Yes they can pool their processing power, yes they all think alike, and yes they co-operate flawlessly, but they're not one mind like the borg. If you assimilate a replicator block, you gain full control over that block, and full understanding of how they work. Great. Now you just have to do the same to the other 800000 now swarming through your ship, who i might add, by this time have ALSO aquired a full and detailed understanding of the Borgs technology as well. oh and now it'slogan86 wrote:I think though that even if the replicator numbers grew into the millions, they would still have been assymilated (spelling?) and therefore would still be connected to the hive mind, and still be under borg control. 800001 replicators
800002
800003
etc
Do not underestimate how big a threat the replicators are. Almost everyone does, and it's usually the last mistake that 'almost everyone' makes.
