Achievement Guild - Beta Version

This is an Artificial Life Plugin for X3 Terran Conflict, which adds a system into the game providing rewards.
These rewards are given once reaching certain milestones and running the special command. Turn this AL Plugin on in the Al Plugin menu.
Then, set up a hotkey in the Controls menu, one which will allow you to access the menu, one for a direct reward check.
This will ask for you to select a sector, then spawn any rewards, and send you a message.

Some of the rewards added by this plugin are not available in a 'vannila' game, and can only be accessed through use of scripting or plugins like this.
Most are not in the game for a reason, and therefore not all of them will function correctly. I have added them so that it is possible to get unique ships.
An example of this is the Valhalla.

Notes:

This plugin uses 9450 as a T file and page id.
This scirpt may make things 'too easy' due to rewards, and will be balanced in the future.

Hmm. Is it safe to rename the .xml file? It's clashing with (I'm guessing) one of Amurph0's shipyard scripts. Or possibly an X2 ship mod I'm running. (not really a complaint, but if I can't rename the 't' file, then I can't test the plugin.) :roll: I should have checked first. But to fix it, I'm pretty sure I can just change the name of the .xml, hence the question.

Thought as much. I'll give it another go. It may be my fault. (highly, incredibly likely) :roll:

EDIT: Yup, 'twas me being stupid- I accidentally unpacked the .zip into my backup save file. The game didn't like it very much. :oops: :headbang:

Now working, on first impressions it seems to be OK. I got a torrent of rewards once I ran the check though. Maybe a few too many, but who am I to judge- I did install it into a 10 day long game... Some of the rewards I have no idea how I got them. Maybe some descriptive text is needed when you claim the achievement. (Some of them are fairly self-explanatory, but others are a touch obscure.) I've already got some pretty awesome, non-standard ships from the guild which are very difficult to get in vanilla (a P, for example) without doing anything particularly special. Maybe make the Xenon stuff (bigger than fighters anyway) far harder to get.

I literally only opened TC to check if the plugin was working, so I haven't tried the hotkeys, but at least thirteen of the achievements are working just fine. Good work Emperor Jon! :thumb_up:

(And Cycrow and LV for teaching him how to do it.)

Didn't know there was that version. My box doesn't say that, to be sure.

And add moi to the beta testing list, since :D I just DLed it just now. Will report back on any happenings, on an Apricot Merge Mod game, with a few other mods included, that might have problems with this, if any at all.Hopefully not having too many ships and such pop in place in the same area, won't cause sudden lag issues. At least, this is the issue that comes to mind, where I can have that lag issue, with too much stuff in a sector.

But anywho... 8)

That's the reason. If I make it obvious how you got them, some people will start a new game and instantly try to complete one which gets them loads of stuff!
P.S: I like the loadscreen you put in!
Unfortunately the loading screens in TC have the top and bottom sliced a bit. So in the actual loading screen it misses out 'For the moments like this' or whatever.

only Xenon reward (except the fighters), and to get it you have to discover all Xenon sectors. This is no mean feat even in a Kestrel, because at least one of the sectors is hidden far far away, and 2 more are/through a core. A P is a novelty, and useless reward, you're not going to use it, you're going RE it! So it's useless until completing the HUB
Hopefully not having too many ships and such pop in place in the same area, won't cause sudden lag issues. At least, this is the issue that comes to mind, where I can have that lag issue, with too much stuff in a sector.
This may cause a few issues when it creates ships, a few seconds of lag, but it doesn't rewards you with endless amounts of big ships.

Unfortuneately no work today really. I've been to the coast and back. For no particularly understandable reason! :lol:

Got the beta to work last night, and got quite a few of the rewards. The only thing I can't quite figure out, is the spoiler hint, and what it was pointing to. Not sure if it was meant for an in game item, or an external website. I get the idea, just a bit vague feeling, on 'where' to direct my meager brain to look towards.

Still, this is fine work so far. (Still trying to figure out what to do with an Arrow. Heh.) Can't wait to see what the final product looks like. (Since I note the development thread as well here.)

I'll leave it here for now, not much else to add at the present. Tada. :D

I can vouch for the lack of bugs- there doesn't seem to be a single problem with it. Nice. May want to have a look at some typos which I can't remember offhand but are definitely there. Not that it matters much, but I'm picky. :roll:

I'm pretty sure there're a couple of achievements in there which are hard to get quickly(ones involving game time spring to mind) in a controlled X-environment, so I can't really test the bigger ones. I think I have the third one for playing ten days. All up to there work, but I can't check any of the others unless I play a lot more, which is impractical- I already play TC more than I should.

Only one more for game time at 30days and works on my computer.

Had to load my pre 1.4 save to check though, 32 game days IIRC. Ahh, just reached the point where I was getting 100M for building missions.

Then they patched it. :lol:
