Argon Cerberus - What did i ever do to you?
Huh... so there i was capping some ospreys when i get a message that one of my ships is under attack. For some reason, an Argon Military Cerberus is on the war path in Argon Prime and attacking my property. No other Argon military ships seem to be that bothered.
I can't think of any reason why it would do this. I've jumped into the sector and done the classic "Sorry, weapons misfire". It briefly turns blue and then goes back to red again and fills my face with flak.
I vaguely recall this problem some time in the past but short of reloading to a save 2 hours ago, i can't seem to fix it. I'm not even sure if this previous save is good atm as i can't find the cerberus. I reckon its waiting to pounce. Any ideas on how to solve this?
PS. I don't have enough firepower to blow it out the sky yet. That, and i think i may make more enemies that way.

It will be a problem but you need to find out what annoyed it. Was it on its way to attack a hostile ship that you captured? Did one of your ships collide with it when you were IS? Has one of your ships got the wrong friend/foe settings (especially happens after being around a capture operation) and had a pop at it? Did you do any collateral damage in that area. You need to check all local ships and traders. Have you had any ship destroyed messages?
When you know what annoyed it, you can take steps such as apologising from that ship or taking that ship somewhere far away (UFJD is good). Otherwise you may need to lead the Cerberus into a hostile sector or perhaps take a patrol/defend mission in that sector and hope the bad guys take it on.
There are some exotic solutions such as dropping a build-station NPC station on it or splitting asteroids next to it.

if you build a station that produces illegal goods...it is not enough to "hide" the goods by putting them in a TS...duh.
The police don't raid a meth lab and let it go because there's no finished product on site...
Police ingame don't either.
Don't be a muppet, don't build factories where they are illegal unless you can defend them !

Okay. Here's a similar issue I've ran into with AP. I have a random argon military Titan. Attacking my ship and stations. No matter where I build them. And attacks only begin after I start building my own stations. I'm not building and illegal products, have no sector traders running. And no,mater if I validate the game files or start a new game it continues. Any possible solutions or am I just going to have to reinstall?
Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Why don't you just blow it up / cap it? That's what I would do... I'm guessing you've already tried comming it and apologizing for whatever it is the ship thinks you did?Rurikk82 wrote:Okay. I was actually about to link to your thread to see if the two were related!Rurikk82 wrote:Okay. Here's a similar issue I've ran into with AP. I have a random argon military Titan. The OP's problem can be due to any of several things. Most likely causes are:
1- One of your ships accidentally collided with and KILLED a civilian ship, so your ship is now labeled as a "killer". Apologies won't stop them from attacking all of your assets until that particular ship of yours is dead or gone.
2- You capped a ship that's already been branded a "killer". Again, until that ship is gone, the race in question will be gunning for it. I had it happen several times, and now only keep ships that I legitimately buy (new or used); all "bailed" ships get sold as soon as I can repair and/or strip them of useful gear, unless I know that the ship just spawned for that mission and bailed before doing any serious damage, minor damage I can apologize for after claiming them. I've had no further issues with race military ships turning hostile.
3 - A ship collided with one of your stations, and was destroyed in the process. Your station is now branded a "killer", and must now be destroyed at all costs to keep it from killing again. Until that happens, your other assets are in danger of attack by military and police randomly turning hostile.
