hi :!:

sorry for halfway double post but i did not feel that merging my post in gazz's turret fix mod was the right place to have this thread

Gazz's turret fix is only a visual fix on the turrets so they're firing archs get better, i know well what i am talking about, the problem with the Galleon is the turret set up, only a mod or fix in the Tships can repair what's wrong with the galleon

the problem: :evil:

right / up is the same weapon layout
left / down is the same weapon layout

Detailed Description:
Right / up:
HEPT CIG PPC CFA IonD FAA IBL

Left / Down:
PAC HEPT CIG MD PRG CFA IonD IPG EBC FAA

what i want :D

right / left is the same weapon layout
Preferably Right / up Layout, but ill go with anything as long as they have the same weapons installed

i dont care so much about the rest
i just want to personally fix the turrets on the galleon with a mod so i can get back to playing TC i want help to edit the turret layout so i can make the fixes myself

(this said, maybe people understand that my issue is not fixed)

this thread is actually an ego trip for me as i stopped playing Terran conflict due to one single massive flaw, (at least for me, so i went back to reunion) :shock:

i want to know how i can Manually fix the turret allignement or make a mod so that the all the turrets get alligned right with they'r weapon's loadout.
A "Step By Step Guide" so to speek. As it seems i wont be getting my issue fixed anytime soon.

is there anyone who can provide me with a step by step solution for this?

(note: this is just something i would like as a temporary solution until egosoft fixes it permanently. wich may be several patches away, so i might need to do this a couple of times if ego decide to mess with the tships..)

I see. Yes, that is a different problem. It can be reworded to:

I want the front turret to mount gun types A and B, and right turret to mount C and D. How?

Take doubleshadow's Editor and load the TShips file. A ship entry has section for each turret, and part of turret description is a bitmask. All guns matching that bitmask can mount into that turret. So exchanging the bitmasks for up and left (or copy from right to left and from down to up) should do the trick. (Disclaimer: I've never used the Editor for that, but that is what all the guides and tutorials so far have implied.)

i started the X3 editor.. and well, this was more difficult than i'd ever though =P lol

any guides on how to change turrets?
ill just try a bit more =)

i did it :D the galleon now has the left and right with a copy of the right gun and the down up a copy from the left gun!

so basically what was left is now up vice versa!

Ty jlehtone and doubleshadow for making my game better again lols :!: :wink:

Yeah that is a messed up default turret/gun arrangement. I wonder if it was a mistake by development..

If it was intentional.. well.. I suggest a drug test ;P
