Some Aldrin stations may not exist upon your discovery of the sector via the Terran storyline. Here is what I can surmise from playing the Aldran Adventurer start: The sector initially spawns 100% complete with all 22 stations, but over time, the GOD engine wipes some out. I'm making this guess based on the fact that in my own Aldran Adventurer game, my Energy Production Base XL Gamma has already gone poof :) and there are only 7 hours 30 minutes on the game clock.

So, don't be too surprised if you send a ship to a set of coords, only to find empty space.

Hope this helps -- happy exploring.

Awesome list. Great job!

I do have a question for you though. it appears that both of my Tech production bases have gone "poof". Can you tell me what they sell? I'm wondering if I am missing something important...

Thanks!

That's it? Ok. I'm not too worried anymore that I am missing something important. Thanks!

I haven't done it myself, but some people have said that you need to have flied around in an Aldrinian ship for a while.

Thanks a lot. I had like 10 scouts there and couldn't find more than half of these stations.

Really makes you wonder how that Scabbard got there in the first place, doesn't it? :?

To transport a jumpdrive to an Aldrin ship just buy a Helios or similar $400k ship, take a M3 with a jumpdrive and dock on Helios, jump with the Helios to Aldrin and transfer the jumpdrive from the M3 to Scabbard. Take the M3 back in Helios and go back to regular sectors.

I'd already found most of the stations using my advanced disco with explore software, and they do sell jumpdrives and docking comps there. Think its on one of the unknown factories. But not all the unknowns stock the same gear.

still say the aldrin economy is broke somehow, they will not produce Eemc`s at all, tried everything, stocked to gills and still no production of those elusive guns.

buying fighters doesnt work weither as they come empty.
maybe its down to buying m6`s and stripping them, but thats bloody expensive.

Did anyone get Aldrin's economy working?

I thought about dropping there around 10 or 15 ST Mistrals (130 speed).

I think they might get the economy running... What you think? What have you tried so far?

GCU Grey Area, IIRC, set up a complex there to get refined foods to the weapons fabs. I used a couple of Mistral SFs as MORTs to ship the stuff in.

You can send a fleet of STs there -- they'll pay for themselves after a while, but they'll only trade in basic foods and ecells, occasionally ore. Sometimes they'll buy the missiles and M/AM warheads from the weapon fabs. The hoppers at the Aldrin food refineries are HUGE, they can stock over 130K meatsteaks at a time, but the factories themselves are ony M, so they never fill those hoppers up --> price never becomes competitive enough for STs to trade it to the weapon/tech fabs.

The STs will also, on occasion, waste their time by moving shields back and forth between the equipment docks.

The weapon fabs currently don't produce EEMP cannons -- at all. You'll have to clone these unless/until the fabs get fixed.

I dropped some of my freighters into the mix. Will see if it helps long term.

By the way, one easy way to discover everything is to fly (move to position command on your remote ship, don't fly there yourself for god's sake) to one of shipyards. When you have discovered the shipyard, buy there a bunch of M5s, upgrade their speed only and buy them duplex scanners.

Make them follow ships that are flying around like tech and food traders. They will follow them around the whole place and eventually discover every single station.

You can sell them afterwards.

It's much faster than explorer software or flying there yourself.
