Which of the corvetts do those of you who've played long enough to get one do you prefer??

The Dragon, and I like it so much that I'm even not going to try any other.
Speed is a tremendous advantage of a Dragon and 5 GHEPTS are also great!

For my own personal corvette, I prefer the dragon because of the speed. For AI sector defense the Centaur is the best.

The dragon can only mount 1x125mw shield, whereas the Centaur can mount 2x125mw shield. The dragon cannot survive for extended periods in a sector defense role while being controlled by the AI.

Hehehe, my Dragon(I was in it) survived the stupid and lame mission (# the last one) when the Khaak invade Omicron Lyrae. It costed me only 1 mil to paint it after a nasty collision when taking that stupid position near the mothership + 1 GHEPT.
P.S missions SUCK and the most sucking issue is the indestructability of NPC ships (Nikonofu**) when it flies trough the Xenon sector and, after receiving a kicking of its ass, it's hull was 0. The same can be said about #last mission with indestructable Khaak destroyers that charge the stupid motherf*#$.. oops, mothership)

Osprey is a cheat: 3x125 Mw shields ... bah ... get a Phoenix, park the thing and blast the world.

Speed is the core, steering the meat. Dragon over all. Split ships are simply the best.

Fight with style.
Power over Defense.

Btw Centaur is the best OOS defense cause the AI resolves conflicts virtually.
But to pilot choose only the Split line and learn to survive playing not staring at your screen watching credits goin' up.

Centaur for OOS

My Centaurs never get below 70% hull, so a Split Dragon would never get below 20% hull, although thats kinda close isnt it.

lost 2 Dragons in OOS, both times while I was buying a fab in my TL, they never even survived the first khaak cluster

haven't lost a centaur or even got hull damage in OOS yet

for personal use I like the dragon, those turrets rock

the front lasers are useless for me most of the time, no joystick and low fps and the fight command software is kind of stupid

The Osprey is no cheat ship mate, leave that subject alone, Im willing to stand up for the osprey in this matter.

if you think it is a cheat ship? FINE! dont fly it, but dont moan on that its a cheat ship when other players enjoy flying their ospreys.

Cheat? Not in my mind. I still have to buy it. I still have to buy it's equipment. It's your own fault if you buy a lesser M6 and then complain when I whoop your *** in my Osprey.

I wish we would hear from a dev or someone official as to why the Osprey was left out.

It would be interesting to get the final word. I wouldn't mind having one, but if they left it out because its not balanced in their mind and does not conform to the game universe, then I would not use it.

Besides, the Dragon is plenty deadly in the hands of a good pilot.

I do like the osprey but it's slow as hell.
So naturally I would choose the dragon (also because of superior looks).

The one thing that bugs me about the dragon is NOT the 'weak' shielding
but the way the turrets work on this one.
To get the maximum out of this m6 you have to RUN AWAY because both turrets can fire backwards but NOT forward.

I haven't found 'my' m6 yet and doubt I ever will -
I don't think they will be changed with any patch (except possibly the osprey made weaker)

I'd like a m6 in wich I could capture but the only one that can mount IONs ist the Hydra.
This is by far the best looking m6 and it's a SHAME it is useless.
Another front mount and the possibility to dock a m4 or even m3 and even the price would be right.
Anyone else who would fly around in a Hydra with dual front guns and a docked mako?

Hydra fix =

extra front gun

maneuverability max up to 25

only M6 that can dock M3

turret and front mounts can mount up to BPPC, since this is a Boron onvention apparently.

Mine is the dragon. It's sleek, fast and it's weapons are great to me.

To be honest, though. It's next to useless for OOS combat. Excellent if your piloting it yourself, though.
