So I have to bring 200 Teladinium or something to a argon base, however it's basically impossible for me to do. The base I'm supposed to dock with is friendly but everything else in the zone blasts me to bits. When I enter the zone I first get a message that they are confirming my status and then a message that I'm accepted, however at the same time I'm getting another message that I'm in restricted space and they are now going to attack me

Ok. This is going to sound a bit strange.
Get a fast ship and fly into the sector. Attack the station you are supposed to deliver too until it turns red. Hopefully you can do that as before you loose too much rank.
As soon as it turns red, it should turn friendly again soon after. Then leave the sector and re-enter.

Forgot one thing. When the station turns blue again, fly out of the sector. When you re-enter, there should be no attacking ships. Other stations will still be undockable though.

Ive hit this bug also, exactly the same problem as Wyxen. Tried shooting the staion till it turned red but it didnt turn blue again. I left the sector and came back to find it was friendly but all the ships were still hostile.
I think the problem was that after I attacked the station my argon rep droped below confirmed friend (which is a requirement for the mission)
hopefully I can raise my rep a bit and this will work otherwise its a few lost hours of gameplay, but I just figured out the spacesuit has a built in repair laser so ive wasted precious creds on repairing my M3 after the first patrol mission so maybe its time for a restart

I don't mind being shot to bits. but i do mind why did they change the key ?? What key is the open freight so i can pick up astronaut ?? It used to be o or shift O but the key is no where mentioned in the control option or the manual. How do i pick up something in space ???

You no longer have to go through the nonsense of dropping shields whenever you scoop anything. A step in the positive direction. My only wish is that they had given us the option to have some upgrades built in/auto bought when you dock at any station that sells them (such as trading system extensions/seta which are highly annoying to discover you don't have just prior to a 1000km journey (as an exaggeration). (In the same vein, why does the repair laser have a higher energy drain than the recharge in the suit seeing as you can just re-enter ships and re-eject to fully recharge the repair laser battery...?)

I managed to do this mission without dropping reputation or shooting the station, here's how I did it.
get a fairly fast freighter and fill it with 200 teladium, I did it with a baldric, and a fairly fast fighter ship, an M4 like the sabre will do.
pilot the freighter and set the M4 to follow you, then fly to sector M142.
after entering M142, boost towards the mission station as fast as you can, after you're M4 has entered the sector, tell it to dock at the station.
now here's the tricky part, comm the station and ask permision to dock manually, race as fast as you can to the green marker, only slowing down when you get within afew km of the station.
if you did it right, you will be docked at the station before getting blown to bits.
after waiting abit, you will have to scoop up 2 astronaughts, switch to your M4, and scoop them both up, you will have a short amount of time before hostiles come after you, race to the north gate, and you're home free.
as for the TS you left on the station, no worries, wait a while (just to be safe) before telling your transporter to exit the sector.
do everything to the letter and you wont lose a single ship and your reputation will be undamaged.

I also managed to do it without any rep hit.
I upgraded the adv. disco to max speed and flew it into sector, kited all the enemy ships around the backside of the sector.
While they were distracted I had my freighter with the goods dock at the station.
Waited until the astronauts appeared, then had my saber collect them and leave sector. Had my transport leave sector.
Hi tailed it through the gate to rejoin my other ships, and transferred the personnel back to my ship.
Another glitch that appeared however was when I transferred one of the personnel to my ship, the other one disappeared. The person reappeared later though and I was able to complete the mission. After the mission I still have the captain in my hold though..
Edit: Life support systems are available at some of the Teladi trading stations, try Grand Exchange. Also, I think you will need the special command software to pick up the astronauts

This is not working for me at alll
So I have my Scabbard and my SF docked at the outpost.
Gave them the goods.
Well, you have to wait for a time for the astronauts to come.
Attempt 0)
Took the mods advise, went in there at 600 KM/s
Shot the station until out of energy
Exited the sector
Reentered and got blown to bits before I could count to 2
Attempt 1)
piloted my Scabbard and went under the dock and waitied for astronauts to come out. Attempted to go get them at full speed and got blown to bits before I could count to 2.
Attempt 2)
piloted my scabbard, went under dock, hit seta after astronauts came, hoping they would come closer. they never got closer than 2.5km. Went to go get them, got blown to bits before I could count to 2.
Attempt 3)
Piloted my SF, hid under dock, waited for astronauts.
Commanded my Scabbard to collect astronauts.
Scabbard flew in circles around them for 30 minutes never picking one up.
Scabbard DOES have life support and cargo space.
this is fricken BS. I've been trying to get past this mission for 6 hours now.
Edit:
Attempt 4)
Stayed docked until the voice came on.
Piloted my SF
Immediatly undocked and hit the jumpdrive to get out of sector.
Commanded my Scabbrd to collect astronauts OOS
He did.
Commanded my Scabbard to dock at rendevous far away from BS Bugged to hell sector.
He didnt get shot down and we are rendevouzing.

I attempted this mission on Saturday and gave up, meaning to check the forums at a later time. I'll have to give this rather odd 'fix' a go when I get home.
Can I ask the obvious question though? Who play tested the plot missions? I have no idea how many plot missions there are but I would guess this is quite early on in the campaign. So I'm guessing that this worked before and then got broke or the QA needs a little TLC.
Either way, just an unsightly blemish on an otherwise very fine game.

This mission sucks the big 1.
What did the devs think when they did this? Why do all ships attack me, but I can still dock at the station? From a story standpoint:
1) They found out I'm not who I pose to be. Then nothing would let me dock, cause I'm an enemy.
2) They didn't and the military just wants a conflict with earth
I really cannot believe that a mission so early on is that bugged. I need to fly in one or 2 M5 to lure the enemy away...

I meant to reply earlier, but had forum login troubles.
you can get cargo lifesupport from the pirate base in heritcs end
sorry, I should have been more clearer about the waiting, I meant you have to wait for the argon elite to dock, the astronauts will only exit the station after you undock.
speed is of the essence, that's why you need to change ships to a faster M4/M5 ship, I used an M4 because it's easier to pick up astronauts without overshooting them and freighters and TP's are too slow and rubbish turning to pickup, and by that time, the hostile patrols will have blown you up.
another reason to switch to the M4 is manually picking them up also saves time and speed, using the command console to pick them up is risky and takes alot longer.
@ Moxx: good idea, I did that once in X3 reunion to get my freighter through the xenon sectors.

I'm not sure if this was meant to be an option, but I actually started the After the second mission you are now on friendly terms with everything in that sector. In fact ... once the infiltrators bail out the airlock, no one is mad except the base. I don't know if the rest of the mission in that line are borked if you do that though, as it's hinted you need to return to that station later ...

After a lot of frustration and profanity, what I did was...bring 3 ships. The TS, and 2 M5s. I went into the sector in a M5, ordered my TS to dock at my target (the station), left the sector, waited for the TS to reach the station. Then I entered the sector and dashed to the station, switched ships while inside the station, they took the goods, then I switched back to my M5, undocked, hid under station to avoid fire and then SETA'ed till the astronauts came out. THEN, I LEFT the sector, and told the other M5 to go pick up astronauts in the hostile sector.
Little bit of work, but no dodging bullets and no rep hit.
