The Friendly Guide to The X Universe

We would like to introduce you to: The X Universe: - Many think that TXU is quite probably the best place for fans of
X²: The Threat, X³: Reunion, and indeed, all past, present and future releases of this stunning genre of space simulations
by Egosoft. -

Over 4000 members and more than 100,000 posts speak highly of the atmosphere where you can find help
with whatever you need, from playing, to talking or fantasising about these simulations -
whether you are an Explorer, a Trader, a Pirate or a Megalomaniac with galaxy domination in mind,
You can voice your opinions, get answers to your questions and help others to do the same.

Parts of the community include:

TXU was and still is mainly centered on a mod (extension) of X³: Reunion called Xtended (XTM for short).
Xtended is one of many mods for X³: Reunion (there are also a number forX²:The Threat),
some of which are hosted at TXU. Those currently available here are:

The Wiki is progressing nicely thanks to the hard work of a few of the team at TXU, the majority of the stats and data have been transferred to it, and current work is going into adding some more 'flesh' the entries.

Ah, we´re traitors!

As a member of the TXU-Forum I can only say that it is the place to inform yourself about mods, especially the XTM: ship reviews, mission reviews and most things you always wanted to know about this mod you will find here.

And be kind to Mokonzi, he is the master of masters!

This is not an advertisment of my work

Just to show my support for the great forum

and Moko.

I joined the TXU over a year ago (join date: 04-03-2007). I started out making videos of the brilliant games EGOSOFT made, and got huge support and praise from the txu members. I soon became a moderator of the forums, which i do little moderating now

, but becoming a moderator allowed me to be able to build the website called 'Xtended Docklands' the website is hosted and suported by the the x universe which started me off on my individual projects on websites. I'm currently re-updating the entire XTended docklands website to make it better than before.

But the one focus of the txu is the mods, my current project 'x1 the pirates' mod has a good forum on the txu, which has a customized template changed by mokonzi the makes the blue x1 forum and xtended docklands forum stand out from the other parts of the forum thanks to the time mokonzi spent on it.

Last note: But the X community is the key to the survival of the site, they are helpful and creative. They have wrote ship reviews for the majority of the xtended mod ships, made videos, wrote stories, made forum signature banners and the moderators and mod support have given alot of time helping out in the tech support forums which makes it a great site for mods.

I have been comming to the egosoft forums for a long time now and they are a great place to learn new things and see whats happening in ego land.
Also last year i joined TXU and have now over 800 posts there and love the place. I have made many friends there, while still also continuing to pop in here. I think that TXU compliments the offical site quite well and many here are members of both.

Well, I've been around TXU since November 2006, I think, and so far I might say that it (for now) has one major advantage over Egosoft forums - the community over in TXU is a bit smaller, and therefore more personal and helpful while maintaining a respectable level of professionalism.

Also, do not think that TXU only provides help to stuff related to supported mods - people over there (myself included) will be glad to help in any matter, be it vanilla X2/X3, gameplay tips, mod/script compatibility, or speculations on new ship types..

Last word of caution though - the moderation activity at TXU is on par with these forums, so do not expect to get away with anything inappropriate you won't be able pull off here.

Well I can't really add anything constructive without echoing anything that's already been said. Also being a TXU Super Mod and a member of the XTM team, I'm obviously going to be biased anyway.

If you have never been to TXU before, give us a try. You might be pleasantly surprised. Then again you may not like it, but unless you come on over you will never know.

Here you can find informations about ships,wares,stations and sectors from X3-Reunion and also about mods available at TXU.Been an Wiki Editor as well as Moderator i know that in short time english version will be finished and i hope alongside with Mokonzi that this data base who is Wiki will make the community to feel more knowledgeable about this wonderful game.
Also in short time Wiki in german will be available and with the help of the german community i will succeed!!

may I put my oar in here too...

I have been on the forums of Egosoft for a long sime, I have seen them come, and go a few times...

THU (The X-Universe) has never been about competing with Egosoft or this forum, this will always be the official forum for the games. THU is a fan forum, made and run by fans, for fans, which, I believe, compliments this forum. It can update itself quicker than this can, why? Because there are a lot of us doing things there, many who work very hard, and we are not restricted by having to work to produce things, like Egosoft folks, whose first responsibility is to work so very hard to give us the best games possible! THU can therefore have folks do things that this forum would not have time to do.

If you enjoy X3 or X2, or indeed XBTF or X-Tension, there will almost certainly be something that THU can do to add to your enjoyment of them.

Those that have been on this forum a long time will know me, some will even have met me at Jodrell Bank a long time ago, when X2 was only an idea (thanks for that Paul)! However, I am known by another name on THU, my av being a clue! Hope to see you both here and there!!

So there is finally a thread for TXU.

Well, I have also only good things to tell about TXU. Known as the home of the XTM, TXU has developed to a great fansite - not only for XTM users but also for all normal users seeking advice and infos.
As in the first post stated, you're also going to find forums for various mods on TXU - in addition to multiple forums for users speaking german or french.

Well in case you are all wondering, i think TXU is still down, I am sure Mokonzi well get it back on line as soon as he is able, but the update and transfer is obviously taking some time.
