[Extra] New M4 Class Ship added to X-Fleet

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I have added the fighter that you may have been seeing on earlier X-Fleet Threads. I decided to make this one a M4 instead of an M3, because I have better plans in the works for an M3. Also there is a custom cockpit that you might find quite interesting. I hope you enjoy it.

PS, Yes the gattling gun spins when you shoot it :twisted: !

Hi there ^^

well...am I blind?? sorry I really can't find any DL-link on the HP

I was able to DL the USS Missouri but not the M4 :cry:

PS: I love the Turret-Cockpit of the Missouri AND the turrets


About the Missouri...

1- the side Turret carry 2 guns (2x3 left, 2x3 right) per turret but only able to use 1 gun (1x3 left/right).

2- when I was in battle for testing, The side turrets were static but another turret that was moving IN the Turret-that-are-static (like 2 turret on one spot, a move-able turret that was shooting and a non-move-able just standing still.

looking forward to build a Fleet with your ships ^^

a very nice work.... i already used your USS Missouri and FA_4U corsair in my game, it work fine.. :) but i changed your FA_4U corsair in to M3 class ships... cozz this is the best fighter ships models i had until now.

yea i got a pen...its back at the X-fleet forums...any ways small update for you all...(yes im takeing care of the PR stuff...)


The carrier is coming along slowly but it will be WELL worth the wait, theirs even going to be....well ill let those items remain secret since we want u to be surprised...Grev has redone the model to be even more friendly to your FPS yes it still has the high quality but its been done in a way to be easy for your FPS :)

as for the fighter ive got it rebalanced a bit (altho a minor issue has stoped us for a bit but well sort it out...

the battle ship is also rebalanced with fleet tactics in mind so it should be interesting...


and finally...<centered by the TRANS-COMM board>...so enjoy and hope you all check us out :)

The Last update of the USS Missouri should have fixed that problem. If you are still getting any turret trouble, let me know please, so Ill know if I need to trouble-shoot it any further. Other than that, enoy the ships

I'll check that out today.

And about the M4 "Lancer", HOLY MOLY.....now that's my baby, an M4/M3 hybrid. Soon there gonna be a real "Ace Combat" in Space :D

A BIG + in the respect...I luv that chaingun ^^

I like the look of the ship,

but it seems kind of unbalanced to me. 25mj is one thing, but BHEPTs on a M4? Heh. That also seems to screw up its L loadout, given the size of BHEPTs. Which makes them inconvenient to buy, especially in squadrons.

Also, name of the model is too long - you can't see half of it much of the time. :(

The BHEPT *could* work, if the ship only had the one gun. Regardless, I think the chaingun should be the first slot rather than the ?fifth?

That's what I like to hear, constructive criticism :) . One thing I learned, no matter what I do to these ships, most people will open them up in their handy / user friendly ship creator software and change them to suite the game that they are currently playing. So I dont put a whole lot of time into wondering what guns would do best to make it "just Right". (That job is for Defiant1).
As for the guns, The gattling gun uses mass drivers, and the guns in the wings are BHEPT. You are right about them being too big for a M4. However, try fireing them at the same time and tell me what you see. You better aim well, becouse you wont have much power left to try again. Anyway, good observation.

Just like I always do, fit the guns the way I image it.
Using MD's on the chain gun and heavy guns on the wings ala. Missile-like-shooting (I'm using the weapon changer script for that)

ps. I haven't tested the update of Missouri yet.

I do got some idea to right in your forum.....

if your reffering to the current ballance i did for it I didnt design it for pure one to 500 odds...I designed it for 500 to 550 odds meanning its designed to be used in large groups of say 3 or 4 per wing with roughly 100 per squadrin and 400 to each wing and 1,000 per battle wing (least thats how I run my fleet) but its ment to be used in multi ship combat senerios...even tho it may have better shields it sacrafices hull strength...so it gives and takes...:)
