[SCRIPT] Paranid Nividium Processing Plant v1.0 by Nividium 9/09/2007

Nividium - [Paranid Nividium Processing Plants] Custom X3 Reunion Script Package.

Name of Script Package Paranid Nividium Processing Plants
Version Number 1.00
Date Released 9/08/2007
Last Updated 9/08/2007
Script Created For X3 Reunion v 2.0.02
File Package Available X3 Script Installer "SPK"

Download the "SPK" file format package here: Nividium_Processing_Plant
If that link does not work try the mirror site link as shown below in the message post by TokeAlot.

Description:

This script package allows you to buy Paranid Nividium Processing Plants from any Paranid Shipyard. You buy it just as you would any other station using your own TL or by hiring one. Then you buy the factory. The Paranid Nividium Processing Plant costs about 973,857 credits.

View an image of the Paranid Shipyard selling the plants here: Paranid Shipyard - Buy Plant

Features:

- The factory will crush Ore and extract trace amounts of Nividium that may be contained within the Ore minerals. The station needs to process 128 units of Ore just to refine 1 unit of Nividium. So, if you can get a cheap supply of Ore costing less than 100 credits or mine Ore yourself, the factory will make some good profits. (if Ore cost is 100 cr then you make 4,000 cr and more if Ore comes from your own Ore Mine and even more if you mine the Ore yourself from rocks).

- The factory is completely automated and does not require any living creatures to operate it, thus no food types are required. The Paranid Nividium Processing Plants have solar energy collectors built into their exterior hulls, so no energy cells are required either. Just Ore and lots of it.

- After the factory is placed in space, it takes about 1 minute for the robots inside to reset the product and primary resources for the factory. Once they have done that, it is ready for operations.

- The factory can be stand alone or it can be connected to an Ore Mine to form a Complex. Or, you can also connect it to any existing Complex that has Ore Mines in it. But note, this factory uses alot of Ore and could distrupt the nice flow within an existing Complex that relies upon the Ore Mine. It might be better to just connect this factory to one Ore Mine L and call it a day for it. As, adding all the crap required for Solar Power Plants for the Ore Mine would be counter productive. Also, before you connect this factory to an Ore Mine, make sure you have waited for the robots to finish reseting it's product and resource requirements BEFORE connecting it to the Ore Mine.

- Warning: An uninstall was created to remove stand alone Factories, but it is not included with this SPK package. Reason: If you connect your Factory to a major Complex and then use the uninstall, the Complex would be completely disconnected and the Hub would be lost. So as it stands now, if you buy the Paranid Nividium Processing Plant then it is in your current game for keeps, no uninstalling and no refunds.

Installation: Use the X3 Script Installer.

Uninstall: Use the X3 Script Installer.

Yes, I don't know what's going on with their server. Everything else seems to be accessable. It is listed on my website too and I can't even download it. Maybe they they transfered file over to new server that is not plugged in yet :D I will try to find mirror site and upload there too.

the formatting of the link for this download was rather different than the formatting of the link for the spacefly farms. not sure if that's still the case, but it might be the cause of your problem.

in either case thanks :)

Still a 404 on both links, a working one would be awesome, as this will finally get me to start mining more. Great idea, though!

I e-mailed him yesterday afternoon. I am at work though and I can not check my e-mail. I will update if I get something from him if he is still around doing this stuff.

I really want that addition as well for my game.

Hello. I suffered a loss of that script and cannot upload it to a new server.
At the present time, I do not have X3 Reunion any longer, but I do have X3 Terran Conflict, so most of my attention is directed toward that game.
If you know of someone else who has a copy of the Paranid Processing Plant or could post a "Please Help" entry in the X3 Reunion forum, maybe someone could upload it for you and others to download from. I could then get a copy and update the main listing for the script too.
