Aalaard please feel free to remove this thread if you dont want it to be released public, i was waiting your answer but it was taking too long, plase accept my apologize :)

***Compatible with XTM but i need tester to fully test it***

Known Issue with XTM
-XTM capital ship doesnt have Shipwreck
-Some station may not have Wreckage or will not be consider as Wreckage ( Please send me a PM reguarding these issue if you encounter them, also place note the station type or ship type ( For non-XTM ship if any )

Change Log

2.4:
-Now you can recover at least half the Repair and debug drone when salvage process is over.
-Possible rank loss due to a wrong setting in few mission fixed.

2.3:
-Shipwreck now give ressource like teladanium, e-cells and such instead of ore.

2.2:
-Original *Rebuild* release

What the difference between this one and the original

-Capital ship now leave shipwreck when destroyed.

-Salvaging shipwreck will return some of the ressources needed to produce ship ( Teladanium, Micro Chips, Computer Component, Crystals, Silicone Waffers and Quantum Tubes. )

-Some reference to station has been changed to Debris ( since station and shipwreck are considered as debris in game )

-Use the same command has before but name has been changed for Debris.

This is a beta release has the drop rate may not be perfect and im not sure if ALL capital will leave shipwreck.

This is a mod, you will have to select shipwreck mod in the mod selection package, or install it under the radar, the only files modified is

So...what does the wreck do? Just act as big space trash to be ran into? Or does it serve other purpose?

I'm sorry I'm afraid I'm not familiar with the original salvage mod at all =/ Could you be a little more detailed?

the debris is the same thing as wreckage just another word for the same object.

step by step guide.
-Buy a salvage License from special equipment dock ( they will have another name attach to the original it will look like Equipment dock: and scrapyard )

-Buy salvage drone LOT of them the average shipwreck ( for TL need about 10-14 drone )

-blow any capital ship ( bigguer than M6 class ) it will leave a huge wreckage ) and get near it.

-Open your ship command go in custom, and select salvage debris.

if you goty all the prerequise ( drone and license ) you will start unloading drone automaticly, wait a while and when the drone did their job, around 10 flaoting can will appear with stuff in, BE SURE TO HAVE A TRANSPORTER to collect the stuff, as itmay drop a lot of stuff.

Debris, beside the fact you can salvage them, dont server any purpose than float in space and add more realism, pretty unrealistic to blow a huge ship and poop no trace of him after, totally gone.

hmmmm...looks like somthin new to play with...can i distroy the debries once im done with salvage or do the drones take care of that already?

Thx for all your effort :!:

I am using all the Response scripts and also the Mercenary and Bounty Hunters scripts which would lead to a ton of debri :o

- Now, if I can't salvage all the debri in all the sectors will the debri eventually dissappear :?:
- What is the life span of a piece of debri :?:

Looking forward trying this out...

for conflicts its you either play this one or aalaarDB one, beside that i dont know of any, i have a lot lot lot of script-mod running in same time and i dont have any conflict encountered so far.

for debris lifespawn, i dont know didnt test that but i heard somewhere on forum it can take several hour * in-game* before dth debris disapear.

For debris, once the drone will be done, the debris will be gone.

yes you can salvage debris BUT the debris in presiedent end wont work. those are *memorial* the debris you can salvage arent targetable, thats why you need to get pretty close of them.

if you blow a station up, you can salvage it.

gah dammit, just tried the mod again and i just realised that we dont get what we are supposed to when salvaging shipwreck.... we are supposed to get ressources needed in production ( not all im not THAT dumb ) but instead we only get ore... wich is pretty unacurated.

Im fixing it now, shouldnt be too long before i *fix* it, just need to find my note now, this may take time. Sorry for the problem.... the right file got deleted mixed up with the stock install..

Ok fixed, now it will give ressources like teladanium, e-cells, and so on, please give feedback on the drop-rate.

P.S.: if you want a good laugh, took me 35 minute to figure out that i forgot this line.

This is compatible with XTM yes, if you ahve ay question reguarding this script tell me. ( you will have to install the mod as a fake patch or you wont have all the functionality with XTM )

If you have any suggestion to improve this mod tell me, if you have any sugestion about balance dont by shy. Have fun!

NVM found it...Jocan can u also be kind and upload the CCM frame work also? the link in aladars post is kinda dead atm...and I want to use this to the fullest extent....

Did you fix the bugs AalaarDB's original version had?

If you didn't, the player will run into problems with one of the 'missions', and lose race rank. :)

I did a fix that corrected 2 or 3 bugs. Link is in the original thread.

Hmm i wasnt aware of these bug, maybe i will have to look trought it more carefully, got the link to the post?

I wont be able to come with a fix for a bit because i just bought my new video card and sold my old computer ( the one im using atm ) wich mean i have to transfer my stuff, optimize the *new* computer then iw ill be able to start working again for X3.

i should come with a fix in about 18 hour maximum.
