A real Xenon start where you are enemies with the Xenon. It will work.

This is a Great idea. I talked about it with some one else who had a similar idea that would not work. My idea however will work because you will still be enemy with everyone.... except the Goners because you should be able to get jump drives and transporter devices. ( I hate games where you cant)

Story...

The Xenon have been experimenting on their AI to incorporate the "Biological emotional element" into themselves in the hopes of making themselves more deadly. You are the result of this experimentation, but you are to independent for the Xenon and they try to destroy you. You barley manage to flee a station with a maxed out Xenon M. You start in hostile territory and everyone is your enemy. You want to be in some way part of the X-universe and need to prove that you are truly unique to the other races.

It would be sooo cool to see this start.

Your name would be like EX-1011010111110 or something
your age would be like 1 year (because you were just built)
you start in Xenon M
you are everyone’s enemy (except the goners because they are curious about you)

Any one who makes it can use my story idea and everything else, just give me the credit for writing it.

Actually i really like this idea, it sounds very neat, and also presents the player with a very unique and interesting challenge. I actually do hope this is at some point made, I'd play it for sure.

i now it isnt possible but i would like to see xenon as friendly other wise id very much like to see this idea come treu even without friendly xenon.

I look at it at some kind of impossible thing.

You cant dock anywhere (aside from goners).
You dont get police licenses.
You dont get missions.
You dont get to buy factories.
You dont get to buy ships from any races.
You cant have UT's as they will be killed everywhere.
You cant sell/repair captured ships.

Maybe also being friendly with the borons might help. At least one real race should be friendly to you, goners is not enough.

And having them friendly just to get their stuff is pointless too, there should be some more roleplay in it, no? You can still get jump drives and transporter devices from captured ships.

Change the story a bit:

A Xenon becomes aware of herself with her own moral ideas for the first time in Xenon history.

She decides the hostility towards the biological races is a mistake and wants to make a treaty and sign peace with them.

The other Xenon reject her and become hostile to her because some kind of self-induced electronic incompatibility. The Boron Bala Gi Research project becomes aware of this and decide to host the Xenon and try to protect her.

The rest of races do not trust the new self-conscious Xenon and they think it is a smart plan designed to destroy them from the inside so they will remain hostile to the Xenon.

The Goner in their peacefull nature decide this is a new type of creature of God and embrace her as well as the Boron did previously.

Start Sector: Kingdom End.

Ships in your hold. A modified Xenon L with 200m/s speed, an afterburner technology donated by the Boron (who bought it from the split) as a friendly sign of their trust, and a transporter and jumpdrive donated from the Goner as a friendly sign.

Faction with the Argon. 3-4 bellow the neutral rank.
Faction Teladi. 2 bellow the neutral rank. These are the ones who trust the Xenon more after the goner because they are just interested in profitss.
Split and Paranid. Worst rank possible. They hate you and all you stand for.

1 Its not that impossible, you just need to build up your rank with another race and you can do what you want.

2 I forgot to mention that you will also be able to dock at pirate stations

3 I never mentioned the sex of the Xenon to allow the player (xenon) decide there sex.

4 When I said "independent" I meant that its up to the player how they are "Independent", it can be morals or greed, desire for piracy, the desire to be friends with some races but not others, or whatever. Your story line forces it to be morals, which although not a bad thing some people might not agree with.

I also (if any one makes this) will make the graphic for what the Xenon looks like. But I don't think the story needs to be changed.

On that same thought it would be cool to have a mod where every race has its own space suite or whatever.

Just imagine how cool it would be to eject and look at your Xenon body floating in the void. Or whatever other race even.

hmmm...well it seemes Kilrathi Avenger has sumed this up perfictly for me...im one who just sneeks up and then drops a computer override onto my unsuspecting target then before they know it thier ship is mine and im makin off with thier cr@p from thier ship (leavin the bare bones ship to aimlessly wander around) then go onto my next vict...errrr...volunteer...

I would definitely try it. This is one of the Characters that would be most interresting to play (together with the Khaak Character).

Although i think a little overtuned Xenon LX as startingship would help if all exept the Boron and Goner are hostile to you.

Why start out friendly to anybody?

You're a Xenon, you don't have freinds, unless you plan on killing them at some point.

Personally, I'd love a Xenon start, that was the same as the khaak start, everybody hates you. The one exception being, there's a Xenon shipyard and ED you can dock at (would need some more xenon sectors tho prolly).

You could make a script that randomised the available equipment at the ED. Giving you a chance to get some of the things that would be all but impossible from the other races (transport/docking computer, etc).

It would definitely be fun. Of course, there's no way to currently gain rank with the Xenon...I've always thought of this as a nice thing for a future exp pack/game.

That, and a proper pirate start.

I like this idea a lot but...if anyone does make it please make the character female as in Ezra's excellent story. Imo there are too few female characters to play in this game(OK I'm biased being female myself

That reminds me, is it actually possible to setup up a character, as in like the ones you choose from at the beginning? I know you could script it so all races were your enemys except pirates, like if you start a new game but a character?
