X3 exits back to the menu after loading in 1.3

My save games no longer work in 1.3 even though they are fine in 1.21. as soon as it loads it just fades out and kicks me back to the menu like it was gonna do a cut scene or something. i had completed the plot and i believe this is what is causing it since i have a really old save that works fine. if i downgrade to 1.21 they load fine i even tried getting slavage insurance and saved in space in case it was the space station messing it up but no luck.

Please help!

Anyone? i cant play it with the new patch even though it works if i downgrade. I know others had this problems and since there are no other threads about it is there a work around/fix?
