game crash in Farnahms Legend (1.3)

I just got the 1.3 patch installed, great! the plots been fixed! hurrah....oh wait now my game crashes when I try to continue the plot.

I am still waiting for the dons daughter to tell me she's ready so I jumped to Farnhams legend and the game freezes, it just goes blank and doesnt load the sector, Nothing I have tried works.

I still cant continue the plot, WTF!?

Anyone else got this problem?

As your attorney I advise you to upgrade your SB Live! series card- it hasn't been supported by Creative for some time now and the drivers are getting less and less friendly with subsequent releases of DirectX... Im not *sure* this is the cause- but I had issues with an SB Live that caused blank screens, freezes, hangs and crashes at odd times in <several> games....

As an observation the system seems to be trying to do a lot of different things right at that moment simultaniously... might just be a monkey in the wrench... but I bet on sound card....

I have a similar problem.

Plot is where we ambush the Yaki, big play-up of animated films, then they start shooting, and I get locked up. What the...

I will have to check the SB issue.

A sector failing to load usually isnt a plot problem. Especially if your waiting for miria to contact you. That means your between plot missions because the crystal missions have not started yet and they wouldnt trigger in sector FL anyway.

So id rule this out as a plot issue and look at drivers and other things like the guys above have suggested.
