ATI user: possible reason for CTD

There is a problem when using the ATI control center. Check your Event Log; in the ACEEventLog you may find repeatedly (every 2 seconds !!!!) this message:

These messages will not show if you use the control panel instead.

Cheers for that Euclid. You could have something with that... My 'puter never liked ATi's CCC anyway. Started havin' trouble way back with HL2 and just to access the main options page took about a year... Basically I just can't use it. My only choice has always been to use the 'ancient' control panel... Since I installed patch 1.2.01 on friday nite X3 has only crashed twice. Last nite i managed to play it for 8 hours with no probs !!! If anyone else is using the Catalyst Control Center, try gettin shut and use the older technology.......... Got to be worth a go..........
