Saying that, I'm glad you asked first!

I guess they are working hard on it, lower the Kalashnikov patch release rate to be able to fix more stuffs, and to tests fixes, and this is not something bad IMHO, even if I can't wait too!!!!!

i dont want to have to MOD my game to play it. From my exp MODS can actually add to the problem and cause more problems each time they patch it. Same as having to edit save files all the time.Zhat wrote:Having problems with trading not working? or mining?
go, have a look in the modding/scripting part of the forum, they have a lot of stuff fixed already or did great workarounds

for working trade stuff,

for better AI in Combat and more "realistic" space flight behavior (Battlestar Galactica style)
Some unofficial mod fixes for bugs become (or lead to) official fixes and get released as part of vanilla.Nick 031287 wrote:how is modding going to do the game any good?
Right now, modders are providing tools and fixes to make the game usable in it's current state. Modding is not cheating - it's modifying the game for a specific goal. The previous bonus packs are effectively (digitally signed) mods - nothing more.Nick 031287 wrote: how is modding going to do the game any good?

I wouldn't be surprised if you have some other games you can go and play, then come back to this one when the patch is out. Having every other thread on this forum asking "is it out yet?" like some spoiled brat of a kid sitting in the back seat of a car getting fed up with the journey isn't going to make it come along any faster
Yeah, telling them everything is just great normally does the trickIRGhost wrote:Relax man, when 1.18 is ready they'll release it.
Ranting like this won't help.
Thanks chapCBJ wrote:We have to strike a balance between getting a patch out as soon as we can, and making sure that enough of the most important fixes get in there to make it worth releasing. As such I can't give you an exact ETA or a precise list of what will be in it just yet, though we're getting pretty close to being able to do so. When the information is ready we'll put it up in the sticky threads for all to see.
For now, what I can say is that the primary focus has been on solving the most pressing trade problems and sorting out some of the remaining crashes. We have also started the process of improving performance for those who are having problems with that, but I should make it clear that the changes in this particular patch are just the first step on that road.

And that is precisely the sort of update post you should be filling us in with on one of the existing stickies about patches/features being worked on! Please don't leave us all in the dark while you beaver away working on stuff, it leads to so much pointless speculation and pessimism on the boards here it's depressing lol. Even if it's just a brief update with nothing specific!CBJ wrote:We have to strike a balance between getting a patch out as soon as we can, and making sure that enough of the most important fixes get in there to make it worth releasing.
