You can't access Skunk's room if you are docked... So yeah, not sure how the taxi works, but I definitely enjoy the bridges. Sometimes modders do better job than developers... at least thanks for making the game moddable.

If anyone knows exactly how taxi works, please let me know.

Also, love the mod, but can the creator please adjust so that the shield and hull indicator is not in the middle of the screen? I play Beta 4 right now and I bet it will be the same when HoL is live. Something changed in XR which made the indicator change position. Same happened with "Show Balance" mod.

I think you would use the Contact Remotely option via the Sidebar (maybe legacy menu can too - not sure).

Remote call, is that a mod? I have the mod, but I don't think I can use it while docked... it hangs my game if I am not mistaken.

NVM, Figured it out. I had a remote call mod installed. Removed it and now I can remote call my crew and tell them to "Stay on this ship". Awesome! My favorite mod so far.

Now, if they can move the ship hull and shield health indicator somewhere to the corner of the screen, it would be golden. I poked around the XML files, I see where the position is mentioned, but I am not sure how repackage the CAT file...

haven't been here in a while and I noticed that the mod author has retired does this mean eventually that this mod will be relegated to the dust pile or are there others in the community taking up the mod to keep it alive?

can anyone upload a version of this mod with the sheild\hull indicator is adjusted from centre of the screen, not sure how to do it myself.

grabbed this from steam discussion on the mod
To fix the shield/hull indicator, use the x-rebirth catalog tool to extract the mod, find the file md/Bridge_Announcements.xml
find this line:
<show_help position="14"
and change it to
<show_help position="20"
Using the tool reimport the new folders, and save the catalog over the old one (ext_01).

Note: I also deleted all the bridge positions for the teladi ships on the folder assets\units\size_xl
(units_size_xl_te_*.xml files) so they keep the original bridge position and I can see and destroy the top shield.

You dont need to repack it actually, copying the extracetd and modified mod folder into extensions folder should do it.
Then either turn of updates for the mod, or change the id in content.xml from ws_xxxxxx to whatever else unique (just deleting the ws_ prefix should do it as well).

Thanks, i managed to follow that and have now got a working mod with the hull\shield notification bottom right out of the way.
To simplify things for others, here is my altered version. just copy folder over the one in the expansions.

Installed it, looks great
how can I display the holographic maps though?
I'm parked on my Rahanas but can't see any way to turn on the big holo maps seen in the screenshots of the mod?

You can't, the mod is horribly out of date and only barely functions with the user modifications.

Sadly this has been totally abandoned and noone is taking over the development, despite it being the best mod there is for the game. :(

dammit :( coolest mod ever

couldn't Egosoft pick this up and keep it up to date? This really makes so much sense it should be in the basegame per default

Ok, here is the updated version for X:Rebirth 4.00+:

Changes:
-Fixed the hull/shield Indicator position.
-Fixed the bridge position for teladi ships.
-Updated the galaxy map to include Home of Light.
-Added green markers to the galaxy holomonitor.
-Added sector maps for Omicron Lyra, DeVries, Maelstrom, HoL, Cold Star and Toride.
-Added 4 images to the 3rd (TET) holomonitor.
-Fixed logic on shields state and boosting announcements.
-Fixed Boundingbox size errors.
-Added maps in German, by user SirFrancisDrake.

To install copy these 3 files into the folder: "X Rebirth\extensions\litauen_capital_ship_bridge"
Overwrite if asked, create the folder if you don't have it.
