Update: v.2.30 Crew taxi service

This modification allows to put/leave your hired NPCs on Capital Ship Bridge.
They can stay on the ship and you can take back them later. Something like employee transit or temporary storage (like on the Skunk).
After re-docking on the Bridge you can find them somewhere around and talk to them.

NPC can be taken back by 'Come back on board' (Engineer/Architect) or 'Work somewhere else' (all others)

RE-DOCK
1. You need to re-dock with Skunk to find NPC on board.
2. If you start interact over menu without re-docking, you will fly sometimes over walls and can get stuck. So: RE-DOCK!

English/French compatible.

Hi just noticed that i can get specialists to stay on my stations & return to the skunk with this mod installed

For me it's a GOOD thing. If i find good specialists before i need them i can employ them & populate one of my stations with them for easy location when needed

I haven't tried this option out yet, but I did report a bug in the beta test forum where each added pilot to a capital ship bridge caused the ship to use 100 more units of fuel cells per jump. Has anyone noticed this behaviour with the added hirelings on their ships?

BTW, you've always been able to add pilots to a capital ship. I used to transport several around at a time until I discovered this bug.

I have about 10 pilots on my arawn & not noticed any extra jump fuel useage will take a closer look later when i fire up the game to see if extra fuel is been used

Just tested the jump fuel & the Arawn only uses 100 Fuel Cells per Jump thats with 12 Pilots on the ship

@Litauen
Specialists are the only NPC's you can ask to stay on a station
Architect's & MO are the only NPC's you can not ask to stay on your ships or stations

I have not been able to log into steam for a few days now, so im using it in offline mode, hence I cannot update this mod. would you be able to give me a link here to DL the mod, im rather excited.

Are you running a beta version? Mine is release 3.2. A dev did say it was being dealt with after I posted the problem in the beta forum.

Any chance one of you could send my a non steam link for the update to DL it. for some odd reason I cannot log into steam, steam works but wont log me in. steam CS wont help me, but did suggest the fact that I live 250miles from my isp our IP address are quite different and it can look odd. I really want to try this new update.

There is a little problem with new beta. New Terran mining ships bridge is integrated with it's hull. We can still walk in them and everything but there are parts of hull all over the place .....

PS. I love this new taxi thing on our ships :D

Edit:

In game ship names are Onil.... There are two of them. One is for liquid and the other one is for bulk.

units_size_l_canteran_miner_01_macro is for bulk
units_size_l_canteran_miner_02_macro is for liquid
