How to delete bugged stations?

Post by Malamadre »

Hey guys,

I had an issue while building a second water factory in Devries.
This time i used an Albion CV, because Albion stations are way better, but after finishing the first module (meanwhile i was flying in another sector) i found out that now every additional module is checked as "done", and i can't build anymore. Now i have a water factory with a single production line, which is unsufficient.

I should delete the factory editing the save, but i don't know how. Can anyone please explain me how?

Thank you

You may prefer to leave it as it is. We hopefully have a fix for this in the pipeline which will sort out both stations that are in this state and the underlying cause that resulted in them getting into that state in the first place.

I stopped playing because of similar station problems. Looking forward to that fix, so I can continue playing.

Thank you CBJ, then i'll leave it as it is since i have others stations to focus on.
Hope to see next patch soon!

I'm playing a 1.22 game, and built an Albion Construction Shop in DeVries. I was in zone when the CV was set up, but may have left the zone to buy some energy. Was also there when the last materails was delivered, and in zone during the entire assembly process. When the first module was complete, a couple of portions of the station were built askew, like at about a 30 degree angle. Is that being looked into also?

I reported that one. I'm not sure if it effects the station's operation, but it looks really awkward all the same.

We're aware of it, but it's a different issue.

@OP, re: modules marked as done

This is a result (prior to v1.24 patch) of not being in-zone when the station building was completed (prior to v1.24 which fixed it).

Try getting out of zone, then bring up the property list (ENTER-2-2), select the station, then the architect, Details on the architect, and COMM, show Build configuration (or something like that, not at home ATM).

This should list the station in its correct state. So you would start the build off-zone, but make sure that you are in-zone when the build completes.

For v1.24, I always stay in sector when the station/modules build is complete to avoid this problem, even when the release notes say it is fixed :-)

or like CBJ said, just wait for 1.25 :-) IMHO, the fix probably requires a save game conversion triggered on first load.

@VincentTH

Sadly it doesn't work for me :( i had one of my capitals taking me to Albion, just to be sure to be far away enough, and followed your procedure but for some reasons will only let me build argon tracers. Hope that next patch will definitively fix that. But thanks anyway

If you really want to continue forward with the station, try building the targon tracers. As sad as it sounds, this usually results in another section of the station being constructed not the tracer.
