For the plugin manager you have to set it to the X3 directory which could be why it gave that first message, either that or the old plugin manager just doesn't like TC.
after some looking found, the correct one.
Because a sticky thread dedicated to it is so hard to find, i guess no one does reas the stickies after all ;)
1940s - Various "computers" are "programmed" using direct wiring and switches. Engineers do this in order to avoid the tabs vs spaces debate.

So i will write for myself in future and for anybody who will encounter problems (as it really wasnt so easy)

1) First of all i uinstalled last version and installed new.
2)i intalled this proper version also last time - but i thought that was some mistake - when i installed it - it opened "library" area (directories). Now I realized that its asking me to show him (open) albion prelude executable file (to locate the game itself). Even that i clicked - i suppose that didnt see (maybe im mistaken) what happened and that he is asking me about some other thing (because i have to many applications opened on my desktop, and this question qas opened somewhere after them).

3) but i found it and then i answered for some questions and i was informed that if i want to play mod - i must change to different iinstaller status (Changed instead vanillia).

4) i found i have it :)


If nobody will use this information - i will use it for sure when i will finish my current period for X3 and when i will come back to it in future :)

not exactly done... now mod is installed - but i can launch only X3 Terran Conflict from its options.. I cannot launch Albion Prelude from mod (there is no such icon)...

Can i launch the game not from plugin manager?

As i read topic about this plugin: its possible (and even recommended)

Remember to close the plugin manager before running the game.

eh?
albion prelude not availible under the "current directory" menu?

you need to change to that Before you install the mod,
otherwise will only work for terran conflict. they have different places where the scripts/mods are stored.

about launching from not plugin:

shure, once the mod is installed you dont need to open the mod manager again :) (unless you want to uninstall/install more that is)

i just dont understand why (if you will take a look on sceen) only X3 terran conflict could be launched from plugin menu? Also when i will click by right mouse button on plugin (installer) icon in my windows short-right menu in the bottom of desktop and when i will try to choose "launch game" - only Terran Conflict is available...

Im just curious if mod will be working ideed under Albion Prelude...

Anyway i wondered if plugin manage can be used here: because if we will take a look we will find that there is a hotfix in IR 2.0

Im also wondering if it could be fixed in this way if we are using plugin manager - or only if we will copy files from "Rar" file of IR 2.0 to proper directories...

it wont work because u install it for X3TC,u need to select albion prelude from the drop down menu under "current directory"[if u have multiple installs(X3AP & X3TC) choose the right path..]

when installer asked me about path at start i "clicked" (opened) X3AP, not X3TC. but it doesnt change anything - it still opens X3TC. I have both (X3TC and X3AP) in the same directory...

its just "first click" after we starting installer plugin - i click "X3AP" - but it doesnt work...

ps - i made something different - i removed "X3TC" executable file from directory and moved it to another created directory outside of Albion.

Then i installed mod once again - and even that in the bottom it shows "X3 Terran Conflict" Albion Prelude stars.

Anyway - i hear 2 "bips" in "bacground" before it starts - so im not sure if all things are going ok... (like "windows" sounds)

Anyway - game starts..

Anybody knows how to check if mod (Improved Races 2.0) was really "installed"?

And what to do with this "hotfix"?

Just copy to scripts?

Ps - strange thing - if i will copy X3TC back - when im starting game from installer menu next time - X3TC starts again :)

have no idea what is going on :)

do u see where it says "current directory" in the picture?
put ur mouse over the bar under the writing and click it,then select albion prelude[path+exec]

i understand - the problem is that i have no idea why i dont have such option to choose. there is only one possibility of terran conflict in my menu in this place...

i think maybe i will install albion once again......

hias,
to check if its acctually working anyway, activate the script thingy ingame and check under artifical life, if ir2 is mentioned there then its installed.
if not try saving and loading, if it still doesnt show up.

if pluginmanager just aint working:
download rar file of IR2 instead and extract containts to TC/addon folder.
scripts in scripts, T in T etc.
then it should work :)

ok :) thanks :) great :). i just reinstalled X3 - something had to be wrong with previous installation and i had no options to choose - now i can choose between X3 TC and Albion :)

If anybody else in future will have this problem - the reinstallation is the solution (unfortunatelly)

The last question - if i installed mod through plugin installer - how to add this "hotfix"?

Copy this file to "script" directory?

Glad it finally worked out for you! :D

yea... its probably to go into the script folder, depending on what filetype it is...
but it should be included in the latest uppdate tho?

ok. i understood everything now - plugin installer is just installing files of mod in addon/ scripts folder.

so after we will install plugin - and then proper mod - (IR 2.0) we need to overwrite proper file - which will be already in this folder (but with mistake - so new file will fix problem) - and then we can just launch a game - and mod will run with new fixed file :)

so - its time to start :)

ok. some last questions :) but i started already :)

a) IR 2.0 - im sorry for stupid question but i really forgot - i tried to find answer on forum and read some topics but i wasnt able..

if we will install IR20 by plugin installer, how we can get into mod configuration during the game?

(as we see image of this config menu). I also remember that when i played it last time i could enter to some information "board" what are the current relations between all races... but now i dont remember how did it do it...

b) Pirates guild - i found that there is information that im in peace with Taladi - as i understand this is not something like "binded" status - just starting status? if i will start to shot to taladi they they reaction will be as we can imagine :)

c) War between Argon and Terrans - doest IR changes anything in this war? As i remember i didnt play a long time in X3AP - as i found that there was no fine mods then - so i played mostly in TC. But this war between Terrans and Argon is something new - but can it change during the game because of IR 2.0? In X3TC relations between races changed for sure (im not sure if i played then in IR - but i suppose yes)

As i remember when i played TC mod that created dynamic space - so relations between races changed during time...

I dont want to shoot to my brothers humans during all game . Humans should be brothers :)

d) war sectors - are they stable during game? or not?

Ps - i tried to do anything to enter into IR settings menu - but i cant... - i enabled script editor by changing in pilot menu my name to "Thereshallbewings"(i supoose its not needed, but never mind), game was started from plugin installer as "modified version" (IR is shown as installed script) i enabled script editor by changing in pilot menu my name to "Thereshallbewings"(i supoose its not needed, but never mind), game was started from plugin installer as "modified version" (IR is shown as installed script)

In game menu -> gameplay menu i clicked on "artificial life settings" - 2 scripts shown to be installed: Pirate Guild 3 and ECS: Extended Communication System. In controls -> interface menu - > i see in the bottom "Extensions" and 2 options for keys: ECs: Extended Comm. System and Plugin configuration. I binded keys to them - key that is binded to plugin configurations works.

But when i choose first plugin by hot keys - nothing happen. I tried to choose keys - and nothing happens still...

So i have no idea how to enter to IR 2.0 settings menu...
