Is it possible for me to move my saved game data from my PC based game to my mac based version? I just updated my mac version to the latest (3.1) and decided I wanted to try X out on that platform.
But of course now I'd have to start from scratch which is a bit of a bummer.
Any suggestions as to what file I might be able to move over that has all the saved game data?
I looked at the data folder and it wasn't completely obvious to me.
Thanks in advance.
Moving data from PC based game to MAC game (save games)?

The location of your savegames is explained in this FAQ entry. Whether they will be compatible or not is another matter and I'm afraid I don't know the answer to that. Nor do I know where the Mac version keeps its savegames, so I can't tell you where to put the savegame files.

This was super helpful!
I found the equivalent save spot under my home directory/Library/Application Support/X3 - Terran Conflict/GameDocuments/Egosoft/X3TC/save
Now I haven't actually tried to move data files over yet (I will first make a copy of the directory so nothing gets completely munged, but hopefully this should work fine if the data is saved in the same way to a vanilla envelope.
Let's see!
Incidentally I had previously been running X3 through Windows 7 installed with Parallels on my iMac, which actually worked superbly. But if I can run it natively on the mac, all the better I suspect.
Thanks again, will let folks know if this works.
