I also noticed that there are other bugs related to the shield entries. When installing shields, ships tend to favor the #1 version of each shield, even if more powerful shields of the #2 variety are available in the ship's cargo hold.

I was wondering, for instance, why a single Pirate Eclipse so easily killed my Argon Colossus. Then I noticed that the carrier was choosing to install three 1 MJ shields (of the #1 variant), even though three 2 GJ shields (of the #2 variant) were available in its cargo hold. It preferred the weaker shield simply because it was a #1 variant.

Transferring the 1 MJ shields out and back into the ship's cargo bay fixed the problem, as it forced the carrier to install the only remaining shield type.

Another oddity concerns Laser Towers. When placed in a sector, they spawn with no 125 MJ shield installed. At first, I thought that was an intentional change (a nerf). After experience other shield related problems, I decided to use Egosoft's stock script "Resupply Ships" to manually equip a Laser Tower with a shield. It worked. It seems that Laser Towers are suffering from the same shield-related problem.

I thought I would keep mentioning these examples, since they seem to be related.

yeah there are quite a few places where the hardcode does not play nicely and we either need to find a way around it or live with it :) and no worries, thats somewhere on the list ^^

In a way, I sort of enjoy the laser tower bug. It prevents the player from insta-winning by dropping 30 towers during a battle. This way, you must deploy it first, then upgrade it with the shield. You even have the ability to equip a laser tower with a 125MJ Military Shield. I view this particular bug as a happy accident :D

I have to say, this is my absolute favorite mod!

minus one little thing. no cmod compatability (yet) and xTended's gunfights, specially cap vs cap tends to be back to the non cmod's "spammy-ness"

except for the lovely boron ion cannon, who's sound reminds me of multi-beam frigates in Homeworld. HMMMM :P

I Have a strange Problem with X-Tended ;<

installation was done in this way:

1. TC Retail
2. Patch 1.0.1 - 2.6
3. Patch 2.6 - 2.7
4. Patch 2.7 - 3.0
5. XTC

My Problem is when i open a Menu like Station Control (to Manage Prices) or Buying-screen / Freight-screen i got insane lags.
I can Close the Menu with Escape but i cannot change anything.

My System has a GTX560 Ti, 8 Gigs of Ram and a Phenom 965 BE with W7 64Bit

Other Installed Script (Cycrows Cheat Package, Grax remove rocks)

Comparison with reunion will not be a valid one; two different games yield vastly different results.

Try it without the rock remover, try it without the cheat pack, try it without xtc, find exactly where the problem is.

i have tried it with a Clean 3.0 TC / XTC install and it is still the same.
with TC 3.0 without any Scripts and Mods, all is Perfect

Its been awhile since Ive been online and x3 is the first game i put back on when i was last online it was when they deployed extended conflict without any Story missions etc i was just wondering if i have missed anything and if they or any close to releasing the 2nd part with all story missions in etc

Not yet, we have a lot of work to do for 2.0. Lot's of modelling, and some nice new... nope, not gonna tell ya yet. ^^

Not really sure what could be causing that as no-one else seems to have had the problem and I can't reproduce it here either. *Scratches head*

Can you give an ETA on 2.0? I don't even have to be precise about it. Just your idea of around how long it will take (months, years, decades?).

Yes i can't Play XTC but now i Play Xtended with Reunion and now i have Strange things with edit Stats from PHQ/Docks/Ships...

every Time who i only change 1 value and beginn a new game, it says that Xtended is not Full Installed <.<

lol na originally when 1.0 came out the official line was at least six months till 2.0 and i dont think that has changed.

Hello guys,

I'm trying to buy an argon police license and I can't. My status is Argon Trusted Ally. I think it's the upgrades bug and I tried to use Trickmov script.

Well I select it in the script editor then I press R, then I click on Select a Ship or a Station, I select the station and then a windows appear with 2 boxes, Execute command script and Arguments (with No Argument value). I'm stuck at this point.. What do I need to do? There is no "Ok execute yourself o script"..

I asume you mean you have never played x3tc vanilla before??? if so then dont install this until you have played through vanilla once. This mod is not an expansion pack of sorts it more of a total conversion into a completely different galaxy but with the same races and lore as the original game. You cannot go from one to the other with this mod installed and also it wont make that much sense if you havnt played vanilla plots through at least once. But when you are ready i highly recommend installing this mod!!! mabye v2.0 with plot missions will be around then you never know :)

When you run trickmovs scripts you select null then null (not a specific ship or station) Also i think it is best used immediatly after starting before the wares have a chance to be bought up.
