Precision Plexing Guide = Space Fuel Plex XXXL

Post by Baddieus »

Howdy Everyone,

I've put together a guide in word format (.docx), and it's a little less than 5Mb.

I hope ya'll like it, and your all invited to create your own guide following my example, even using the Precision Plexing Guide title in addion to the name of the station you write it to create.

Here's a preview picture: http://www.flickr.com/photos/38733982@N ... 8/sizes/o/

What about putting it into a .pdf? 80% of all people do not use MS Word. =)
... what is a drop of rain, compared to the storm? ... what is a thought, compared to the mind? ... our unity is full of wonder which your tiny individualism cannot even conceive ... I've heard it all before ... you're saying nothing new ... I thought I saw a rainbow ... but I guess it wasn't true ... you cannot make me listen ... I cannot make you hear ... you find your way to heaven ... I'll meet you when you're there ...

I tried that and it sketches the graphics up with the compression. There are a lot of screen prints in this guide, and it really really helps to be able to read the text on them to get the station built. If anyone out there can make this a web page link instead of a file download, please feel free to do so. == Plus there are free downloadable readers for Word DocX's.

There is one - the Resources & Guides sticky. You just need to submit your guide.
The 2nd station you choose will have the dock connected to it.
** Note; Do NOT connect your complex 1st to your Wheat Farm L’s 2nd or the Dock will reposition. **
I'm fairly sure neither of those statements is true - in my experience, the hub just connects to the closest station, and I've never had it reposition.

Also, you might want to explicitly state that spacefuel is illegal in most sectors.

Oh, and your outline levels are odd in places :p.

iirc, unpatched versions of Word earlier than 2007 won't read .docx. - saving in .doc format shouldn't lose you any quality.

You can also save as a web page directly from Word, although it does tend to generate pretty bloated HTML (and I forget which option gets you a single file rather than a directory full).

If you connect a plex to a station, you should have the option of re-locating the hub, unless my mind was cloudy when I did that (2 much Space-W) :P

No Need, the guide states it's not for beginners, but rather the more experienced.

There is no real outline ... that is deliberate ... hence why there is no table of contents ... hell it's only 23 pages or something like that.

But it did adjust width, which moved text down 1 line each all the way through the document putting = The End = about 1/4 way into new blank page.

Never really worked with web pages ... what is linked is what I got.

Er no, IIRC the hub stays where it is. The only time it moves is if you connect a plex to a plex, and then only the one you selected first, survives.

Looks a good guide.
Well thought out.
It will load into Open Office.org Writer

I would still use New - Tech complexes though, to reduce the room needed .

Thank you - TTD

I'll add a linked pic to the OP for a previewing that will allow everyone to see if reading a .docx file is worth thier effort. If I missed the Math anywhere is what I'm most concerned with. It's plain numbers and Letters, but quite confusing to try and take in without some time available.
