wooohoooo....it's just breathtaking(i just don't like the ideea of the borons not having an M0,but i think we would see when the mod will be released).... dude... so much beauty ,so much perfection,so little time i will have to play it....I will definately take a break from work of at least 3 months just to play this excelent addon to an allready great game.Lastly I can say only 2 things :verry god job you make here XTC team, you are trully the best of the best...and second ,don't rush in completing it .Just take your time and polish the mod as much as possible. :) good luck and wish you all the team members all the best god can offer...cheers guys

M0's: smaller ships will go splat on them the same as any cap ship you are piloting. XD As for actual collision detection, no more problems than the game already has. ^^

Yes the missiles are being overhauled as well.

Just to spend some more words on the performance issues: our team is quite varied also regarding 'gears and rigs': we span from the decent laptop to the maniacally overclocked monster... and our mod has to run fairly on everyone of those machines.

A small section in the team is using scalpels, scissors and any other kind of techno-gizmos to taylor make every snippet that can be touched to improve performance without affecting quality... so rejoice, because we are definitely keeping a good watch over FPS and smooth gameplay ;)

(krm398 sneaks in quietly)...I told you there was a BIG Split ship, didn't I?? lol OK then the backgrounds look great too heh? Everything is going according to plan...errrr I mean going well..so hang in there. Taking longer to make the mod means one thing...we don't do scrap stuff as you can see, you wont be flying through rocks getting shot at, or doing puzzles for lack of good missions, at least I certainly hope not! For people who like a serious, dangerous game I think you'll be happy, and yes the balancing crew is doing great work. There wont be a single ship in game that wont have an enemy somewhere just as deadly, so uber ships,NOOO, great ships, yes. With a little luck, we can bring the expression "challenge" back to the game.

holy cow :o ....i wait for them to evolve like this since x2.are theyre entire fleet reworked or you guys just added some new ship desings for them keeping the old ones too?in any case great job...because of this fact i will be even eager to play it.Gj again :)

It is sort of a new ship, the model is an unused one already in TC, we just changed the shader used.

Not gonna tell you what it is yet though, or how it's gonna scare the ass off you. :P

of course not...i wouldn't want to find out anyway ,until i will meet her in combat.i just hope the khaak will regain they're fearsome reputation they had back in they're good old days

My lappy should manage ok then, thank you for the info. Thats the problem with this game, by the time you can afford to buy a decent machine which can play the last version at max, the next version comes along designed to run on a machine the devs have clearly borrowed from cyberdine systems in the third millenium ( okay, slight exaggeration :) but you know what I mean ).
Where did I put that liquid nitrogen :gruebel:

Last quessy.... Have you adopted the latest proposed vanilla patch ( Edit: although by the time this comes out egosoft will probably be doing version 2.9 :) )

Don't know if we stated that before, but yes, ES TC Patch 2.5 will be paramount, as we are developing the mod with that patch running.

edit*: don't know if there will be new official patches before our release, but i guess if they introduce significant changes in scripting and MD tools, we'll be probably updating to that (this is just a wild guess though, looking back at the messy time when 1.x, 2.0, 2.1 and 2.5 came along, making us adapt all on the fly ^^)

Holy crap, this is epic. I remember that right after I got Terran Conflict, I said "I heard they implemented XTM stuff into this, I hope they put in the M0"... :( but now this mod's going to make everything better!


That Split M0 looks awecredible. It was pretty epic to launch 32 Centaurs off of a Leviathan, so I hope the Split M0 holds like, 80, M6 ships for utter destruction and FPS obliteration!

Will the M0's still be P2P jumpdrive only this time around? I loved the Leviathan in XTM, but it would inevitably kill itself by ramming into objects due to collision detection issues. :(
