Selling Nividium for a great price

Post by Gruber1232002 »

You may have some nividium lying around from a UFJD expedition and perhaps like me you feel kinda gipped having to load it into freighters at shipyards and make a fraction of its true value when you sell.

Well I tried a new approach last night and it seems to work. Stockpile your nividium into a TL which has a few fully equipped M class freight M5's on board. Go about your business until you run into a 'deliver TS' mission. Jump your TL to the sector where you can buy the ship. Buy the TS in question, max out the cargo space and engine tunings (you get the money back on delivery), and have the two meet up in space. Transport over energy cells a JD, NavComSoft and nividium. Jump and fly TS to destination, transfer a JD and NavComSoft from an M5 to your TL and wait.

A ship that sold for 25Mill at a shipyard got me 50mill + change from a deliver ship mission.

Nice idea. Thank you for the hint ... a little bit too late. Just sold Nividium for a test half an hour ago for 42 Mio. at the shipyard :S

Anyway there is enough money out in the Universe :D

Brilliant idea. On the other hand, if you do a lot of Nividium mining and use this method to sell off the Nividium, then you'll probably end up with too much money.

If you do a lot of nividium mining you'll probably end up with "too much money" anyway, but it makes for nice supplemental income if you do it once in a while. OOS automated nividium mining ruined my first game for me. Well lets be honest, I ruined my own first game for myself by using automated nividium mining. At least this way I feel like I have to work to get it and then actively pursue a way to sell it.

Very nice to know.

I'm doing some OOS nividium mining in Kingdom End with 10 TS-ships (Boron TS which is sold in Kingdom End).
When a TS is full, I buy a new TS, order the mining TS to dock at the shipyard and transfer to nividium to the new, clean TS, which I sell for 16M.
The original mining TS is then put back to work.

This way, when all TS's are full, I get 160M for 10 TS's filled with nividium (2000 units each TS).

Doing it the way you describe, would I get over 300M then?

Nice tip :)

I don't quite understand? :?

You use a Niv filled ship for a deliver ship mission, is that it?

Yes,

Deliver ship missions compensate you for the mission and ship value. It looks like you get average price for onboard equipment/wares, and full price for the CB, ET and Rudder upgrades, as opposed to gettin 50-70% at shipyards.
