Oh well have you read NS stories. He is living longer now days. He has barely escaped death by "exit spacesuit stage left." So learn how to eject and disable the safety on the eject. It will save you. SHIFT+E learn it.
I have a carrier snd a bunch of fighters so I'll fight with one fighter as long as I can and swith fighters when they are being burned down by ejecting. I put transporter devices in my fighters so i can do this.

The skunk really is a bare bones model. It doesn't even have a GPS to highlight the way. Or targeting software MK 2 to allow target selection and painting from the sector map. It lacks a Trading System Extention to show prices in the sector you are in. The lack of satellites in rebirth is also annoying to the trader/pirate looking for a mark.

@microtheraver420 - Like TTD says, you need to do missions for pirates. If the pirate base in Brennan's Triumph is still there in your game, that's my favourite place to do pirate missions - around that area anyway. If you haven't got a cargo lifesupport system you can get one at the pirate base. I advise doing any combat missions for pirates (especially if the target is a pirate) if you want to improve your standing with them.
Just because a pirate is "red" it doesn't mean they're an enemy. If you have a freight scanner (and your rep is high enough with pirates) you can turn them "blue" (check you friend/foe settings first) by simply scanning them - you have to find the leader of the pack for it to work though. Hope that helps.

I never did any missions for the pirates and got them to turn blue by killing boron shipping in their sectors. All pirates are blue to me. Except dukes. I rob the duke. His ships are worth many million credits.

Oi 'ave bin tinkin' over ta situation and Oi need a TL.
Oi culd goo back ta Legends Home but there are some unexplored regions out here,so Oi recon Oi moit just explore my way back to Kingdom End.Oi'lzee if Oi can't get sumtin' worth 'avin on the way though.
Now p'rusin' me uncle's maps Oi think Oi goe west,then north then west,but Oi don't mind if Oi be side tracked into business alongs ta way.
Well Oi thought maybe the Teladi would be a bit more reasonable.
After all...they are benefiting from my complex.

Oi went off to pay moi respects to Queen Atreus.Moi apparent devotion to her seems to have paid off.Coming through the east gate of Kingdom End,Oi did not swerve quick enough to avoid collision and rather than be demoted,which usually 'appens,Oi am noo ah Graduate
And Oi 'ave got me an Orca,so Oi need ta do ah bit o' study now,woil Oi get 'er outfitted.
Oi'l 'ave ta get in touch wid a few people an' voind out where Oi kin git ta best stations at the roight prices.
Now Oi 'ave bin t'inkin' that if Oi don't want ta draw too much attention from the Teladi Oi should na be tradin' in owt major ,zo Oi just be a factory trader in secondary goods.Teladi says not much profitss thar so Oi won't be a gittin in their way.

Talking idle chat to people at the bars can turn up some very useful information sometimes.
I have over 5 mill and the station costs over 4 mill.
Take the station back to Split space and place it on the beacon.
I get promoted to Friend and my balance is now over 12 million

Well it was proven to me that the god of the X-universe HATES ME I mean REALLY HATES me. God has been trying to kill me since day one. And he keeps cheating. So yes god does see everything and does pass judgement that in order to balence the universe Mr. Reeves the heartless pirate must die.
As I have seen since loosing the Command and Control Corp Vs The Royal Boron Government God is not neccicerally concerned with fighting fair as long as god wins.

Look for any possible station build missions to boost notoriety etc.

Zo Oi be a openin' up the universe for me Universal Traders,and have at last been allowed to buy just a few factories vrom those strawbags ,the Split.

Oi have returned to Rhonkar's Might to examine what I can buy and what secondary goods thay be a wantin'.
Seems they wan' zom Rhimes in two ov thar factories 'ere, zo Oi know where Oi kin get those thar vactories. Argon do sel em.
Oi'l just call up Master Xadrian and zee if he can tell me of the nearest station to get em vrom.
Well Oi zee! Back to Light of Heart for a large Rimes Factory then.

Oi only have just under 19 Mill cr for now so Oi can't build all at once.
May ave to get some factory traders runnin' for a while ,loik Oi did with the the first complex.

At this point I have chosen just one item wanted .I could make a complete list and make a bigger complex.
But funds are limited,as you can see,so I'm just going to supply Rimes for now.
Doing a few build missions I have been able to build the complex as above but short of one crystal Fab and the SPP L.
To assist,I have put in station traders to sell the rimes and buy e-cells.
I initially put enough e-cells in to produce 15 Rimes.
Set credits to zero.
First sale netted 4,725 cr.This has enabled the second trader to collect some more e-cells.
The station is set to not trading with other races.
Purely as an experiment to see how it will work.
Some time later and I have had to add more e-cells.
Have the 2nd crystal fab and saving for the SPP.
I am now Teladi Company Trader,which allows me to buy a few of their stations.
Likewise with Split at Comrade.
Upon looking up my property menu ,I can see that my first complex has over 13 million credits now. I transfer this to my account and buy the remaining SPP.
The Rimes complex is starting to make credits now so I stop buying e-cells and now have two station traders selling Rimes for best price within a 7 sector radius.
SPP L installed.

Gettin there was no problem.
Then back one sector to head south.
Got half way to the south gate and a red blip on my sreen.Oi'd zeen blips before.Kha'ak Clusters,Pirates and zome ships be a owned by zum Duke.
This was "diverent" tho.This blip looked more like one of those thar rolly-polly toys yer giv' ya kids.
But this was no Rolly-polly.THIS was a Kha'ak Corvette
Well 'ee waz busy wid zum traders and not bothered with me...vamus las' words!
Still zum way to git to the gate an' 'ee turns on me.Now me bein a peaceful chap,unless zum-one gits in me way,Oi only have a single HEPT onboard an' no missiles.Me three Novas are back in Ore belt an' Oi only 'av a couple of ragtags onboard.
So Oi go full throttle an' set SETA on at max.
Oi got through the gate on 0% shields an' 80% Hull Integrty.Waz Oi glad I found a Split Shipyard the other zoid!
Check damage repair costs. Over 4.4 million.Oi moight just undock an do it meself.

repair ship buisiness. hmm. maybe get a mod. maybe. I dunno if they have a repair ship fac...shipyard than you can charge others to repair ships.

I must admit that if you have been playing a long at roughly the same pace,this would be an ideal point in the game to do the Treasure Hunt Mission , and probably the only time when the reward could be considered worthy.
When it was first introduced into the game,many of us were way past this stage and had done most if not all the then Main missions including the PHQ.Just a pity the Treasure Hunt had not been in at the first realease of TC.

To two gallant Teladi traders who assisted me in Advance Satelite deployment.
Unfortunately The Discoverer they were using got blown out of space by a Kha'ak Fighter in Dark Waters.
Next of kin have been informed that no trace of there bodies were ever found.
Meanwhile I have set up another Discoverer to continue in their path.

Tried to visit the old Duke,since all 'is ships are blue on the scanner.
His station was red so Oi 'ung around a little and picked up zom missiles that 'ad been left layin' around.
Really! Zom poor feller ought to set up a waste collection depot an' go collect all these crates just a left 'angin' in space.
Oi miss them Teladi guys,They did a good job for me....still these new recruits aren't that bad.They aren't too far he'ind me noo.
Oi got as var as the unknown sector,beneath Menalaus' Oasis.Now there's a name that that just rolls off your toungue
So Oi thought I'd just let you volks back home know Oi'm still alive an preparing moi empire build.
Oi managed to get a 2nd 'and Dragon for a little over 1 mill. Bin doin' it up loik.Begiining to look loik a real M6 again.

I am now in dangerous territory. Loads of red pirate flags everywhere.Kha'ak pop out for a pastime and oi 'ave just had a catastrophic rear-end engagement with a Xenon Q.
So back to my last port of call,(read reload) at the shipyard in Grand Exchange.
Now my problem is how to get out of 'ere alive

So back to my last port of call,(read reload) at the shipyard in Grand Exchange.
Now my problem is how to get out of 'ere alive
