Missing text in ship menus

Post by the0s »

I am missing the Jumpdrive, best buys and best sells text in the menus on the leftmost part of the screen.

Edit: see http://ryank.net/stuff/x3screen00001.png

The problem began when i had the following plugins installed:

Explorer command extension + deploy satellite
Universal Best Buys/Sells
CAG
Plugin manager lite
<supporting libraries>

I then attempted to add the factory complex constructor plugin.

Upon restart, i was missing the text in my menus, and CAG became non functional.

I tried a bunch of different script configurations and could not get the menus to show, so I purged my script and T directory, then told steam to re-download to the base install.

The directories were restored, but the text is still not there, even on a new game.

What other directories should i have steam reinstall to fix this issue?

My dxdiag is here, but its irrelevant: http://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=260731

TC Problem.

Hi,

It might be worth trying the Steam on line verify facility to make sure everything is how it should be.

Yes - thats what i did to "re download" the various directories is purged.

I think i found the issue; It has to do with .dat and .cat files in the root directory with numbers larger than 08 (08 was the june 10th patch).

I deleted the files 09 - 11 and started up. Fixed the problem.

When i started the plugin manager and closed it, it created 09.cat and dat again. This broke the game.

Im going to take this up with cycrow.
