Hi ScorpBY,
How can I find the four special Pandora Engines and rudders?
I can only search free ships through the custom map generated from my current game.

Hi ScorpBY
Sorry for my poor english.
Your map is excellent.
But i have one problem: all sectors are grey.
Only Khaak, Yaki and Player sectors are colour.
I have a polish version of X3

What are "Pandora Engines and rudders"?
I thought they are usual wares.

Fireski
The map supports ENG, RUS, GER, ITA, SPA and FRA race-names.
If you`ll provide polish names for the following races:
Terran
Argon
Boron
Split
Paranid
Teladi
Pirates
Goner
Xenon
Unknown
i`ll make support for the POL race-names.

The new Pandora BBS supported by X3 2.0 and 2.5
The 4 Pandora Engines and 4 Pandora Rudders can give your ship extra speed and steering.
But the locations are random at different games, the BBS is also very rare to find hints of the locations.

above link is the Pandora BBS.
I hope I can find these Pandora extensions through your map:)

Hi, I see that the unclaimed ships are on your map also.

Is info about them also in my logfile?
So, if I claim one, that it disappears from my custom map?

Or is this info somewhere else?

as the map is dynamically linked to the game's own database..
..anything that happens in the game is reflected where possible, in the map..

- yes, those ships will vanish, once discovered
- but you may have to perform another scan to update the map
- in order to see the changes..

- I usually run scans on a regular basis, say every 20mins real-time
- while in-map, hitting F5 will refresh/update the map's logfile after the scan
- the whole universe is running in BETA mode - we're working on it.. beep..!! :D

Works beautifully!

By the way I noticed a "ruined gate" in Sector "Belt of Aguilar".

This doesn't show up on the map.

Also - crates drifting in space also don't show up.
It would be awfully nice if these also would be visible (and searchable, like the find ship button).

Also - Is it possible to highlight my own ships on the map?

Can't get the installer to find my X3 installation...Could somebody be more specific as to "What and Where" I am supposed to edit to get this to install correctly..Thanks

Edit: Managed to get it to install correctly..Had to create my own .reg file to do it. For those that have the same problem, here is the text..Just copy it to notepad and name it "anything.reg":

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\DeepSilver\X3 Reunion]
"INSTALL_DIR"="C:\\Program Files\\DeepSilver\\X3 Reunion"

Of course change the path to whatever yours is.

I think my problem was from deleting the entire Deepsilver folder on multiple occations and installing a backup instead..Lost my reg settings for some reason...

Now I have another problem...Can't get the program to show me nothing but the "default" map...

I had to install manually also.

But the included readme says what to copy where, so I didn't need to edit the registry.

The manual also tells us how to activate the script and where to assign a hotkey.

After that you only need to point the program to your logfile (under F2 in the Map-prog)

Have fun. Zero T

Hi,

Indeed - very good.

Did miss it, and yes I am using the STEAM version (and a DVD version I recently bought).

We need to use our eyes better

Hello and many thanks to You. I haven't found a version compatible with Czech version of X3. I've tried to rename files but it didn't work so if you can do it, our comunity will be pleased. When I try to open log file, map says custom map loaded, but there is nothing on the screen :-(. Log file is full of "readtext..". I have read whole thread so here are names of races:
Argon - Argoni
Boron - Boroni
Teladi - Teladové
Paranid - Paranidé
Split - Splitové
Yaki - Yakové
Pirates - Piráti
Terran - Terrani
Xenon - Xenoni
Kha'ak - Kha'akové
Goner - Goneři (r with an acron)
Unknown - Neznámá rasa

Code of our language is 42.
I could send you the log if you want.
Thank you.

Just wanted to say TY. This X3 dinamic map makes a few utilitaryes I used before just plain useless. And is better then them. You are a great programmer. Long live Belarus!

Any way to run this program on a 2nd monitor (dual display), while X3 runs on the primary monitor? There aren't any window controls, and it can't simply be dragged and dropped.

Fielded...

Yes, you just click '2nd' in the F2 menu on Scorpby's map, to take the map to the other monitor, see:

Thank you for the tip - I always thought that was a header of some type and not a control button.

However... it doesn't work for me. It continually sits in the first window despite acting like it wants to do something (flashing quickly).

I am using an Nvidia 8800 Ultra with two monitors, not set to span DX programs (ie each should be able to hold a separate display), but they do span where the desktop is concerned. Using Vista Ultimate, without any desktop animation.

=====================

EDIT:

I fixed this by switching my right (primary) monitor to be the secondary monitor. Usually I like my primary on the right and secondary on the left, but that wouldn't work with the map program for some reason. Probably it assumes that primary is left and secondary is right (which isn't true in all cases).

What I had that wasn't working: 2 : 1
What I have that is working now: 1 : 2

I would of course prefer to use the original layout, but if Scorp doesn't have time to fix the bug I can understand.

Cheers.

Yes, it is difficult to write multimonitor function when you have no even two of them :)
So, as it is written in the manual, multimonitor function is experimental.
