Well that is supposed to happen. He made it so it ignored TP/TS ships, as occasionally a UT might jump into the sector in the middle of the match.
However, claiming an abandoned ship, mid-match, if you're under Warrior, has always pissed off the ref. The ref will go after you/your newly claimed ship, whichever is closest to it.
That is normal behavior, as it's one of the rules of the early matches (as the IM that starts them states). It's always been like that, purposely.

Sigh...
What I'm suggesting is... after a past transgression, the global var dma.no.wing is NOT reset to 1, hence forever more the ref is pissed. Yes I understand fully that the ref gets pissed if you have extra ships below Warlord/599 rank. But once u pass that rank, OR it's a new DM, the ref shouldn't be pissed because of a PREVIOUS DM.
plugin.dma.patrol.sec does not reset the dma.no.wing global var, so it always fails the check, sending the ref to always be on patrol and kill status.
I've added the necessary at the top to denote the change... LV please let me know if this is the cause...

Code: Select all
001 $anull = null
002 [PLAYERSHIP] -> set relation against $ship to Neutral
003 $ship -> set relation against Player to Neutral
004 $ship -> set relation against [PLAYERSHIP] to Neutral
005 $g = get global variable: name='dma.no.wing'
006 if $g == 1
007 START $ship -> command COMMAND_IDLE : arg1=null, arg2=null, arg3=null, arg4=null
008 return $anull
009 end
010 set global variable: name=$dma.no.wing value=1
...
<subsequent code is ref going COMMAND_PATROL>

Ok ladies The Empire is back starting with DMA Redux, see OP for link
New Improvements for DMA Redux
[ external image ]
1. Race Notoriety System
As well as cash and prizes you can now trade your dma points for race notoriety, careful though as the Ref will not let you jump too many levels so 5,000,000 points could end up as 10 rank points at lower notoriety levels.
2. Xtreme Menu
If your rank is above warrior and you have gained enough points a 4th menu option will appear for "Xtreme Menu", To get access to this level you will more than need to play at Xtreme difficulty and also finish off everything up to M2 class ships.
[ external image ]
Xtreme Menu Options
To start with the menu appears as above.
Choosing Unknown Ship will send 1 of the games unacessable ships to your sector.
Choosing Headquarters will give you just that (3 allowed maximum)
Sector Taxing Software
[ external image ]
A new piece of imperial kit that runs in conjunction with the "Your Own Sector" command. If you choose this option 1 unit of STS will be beamed into your ship (make sure you have cargo space for it). Then through the special command menu when you are in a sector you own you may deploy the tax drone. The drone will then charge ships making passage through your system and also charge any stations that inhabit your sector.
As well as taking tolls the drone will display the Sector Defense Level so the more combat ships that are in the sector of your means the toll rate is multiplied.
Unavailable Product Factory.
Ever wanted to make those elusive Jumpdrives or MK3 Trade Extensions or even Khaak ordinance. This option will build 1 factory in the DMA sector with a product thats usually unavailable.
Your Own Sector
As is says on the tin choose this option and the DMA sec will belong to you, only goner sectors and averice are blocked from takeover.
Station Purchase Software.
[ external image ]
This option will only appear once you have built 3 or more headquarters, A single unit of SPS will be beamed to your ship and then all you have to do is be within 5k of your target station (factories only) and it becomes your property. You wil find the command in your trade menu.
Both the Station Purchase Software and also the Sector Taxing Software are useable only once and with the STS if you deploy in a sector you dont own you lose the software.

Hi, LV. I've just come across a couple of things (problems?).
I have twice claimed a Personal HQ as a reward for completing the extreme menu, but now it is not showing as an option. I had a look at the readme, and it said something about it being offered three times only. I'm wondering if it's counting the PHQ I received from the Boron for completing their missions, and so as I have 3, it will not offer it the 3rd time.
Anyway, during the aforementioned latest DMA, I received notice that I won the bidding for the sector Avarice (wasn't really trying to, just got sick of the Bulletin Board menu item, and so put in a bid of 615,000,000). So when I couldn't get the PHQ, I tried the Sector taxing software, as here was my own personal sector. When I try to deploy, I get a message telling me I can't claim the sector (You cannot claim this sector Radon).
I've looked through the readme, but have not been able to find anything to indicate what I need to do other than deploy the drone.
Anyway, I'm having lots of fun with this.

BTW, I freaked out the first time I played Redux, when like 10 M7's all appeared, chasing me. Phew!!! That was quite a fight!!!

LV`s post does actually say you cannot have more than 3 phq`s so as a logical guess this will include the bali gi one, in fact i think you should have the bali gi one before you get the option for the phq reward due to the fact you are collecting the blueprints for the station that have been lost, hence logically if the blueprints are lost, no one has them
About the name - i was lost for a name on the forum and looking round, then a Bob Hope film came on, and i thought "that will do nicely"
i was born and raised argumentative i dont mean to offend ...... sorry

My apologies, LV. Didn't see that before. I thought I'd read it through, but obviously not in fine enough detail.LV wrote:averice + elysium of l are bloked from the claim sector option
@bob hope "(3 allowed maximum)" is rather ambiguous, and I took it to mean only three could be obtained via DMA. Oh, well. I guess I'll have to script PHQ into a shipyard and buy some more.

Hurr. My computer locks up (Since X3 never lets me window/alt-tab/alt-f4/ctrl-alt-del) whenever I accept the challenge. I tried doing it in my Teladi Phoenix with a Hyperion and a Starburst docked with it, and in my Hyperion with a LX and some custom M3 that came with DDRS, the Waksashi or something.

I noticed a bug :
I got the Xtreme menu and chose "Unavailable ship", then I got a message saying "A Hyperion is on its way"
But then I waited something like 15 minutes in SETA and did not see any Hyperion anywhere.
So I had to script myself one

This is a really great script: fun, interesting and always a challenge.
I'm having an annoying problem with it though: I've worked my way up through a deathmatch until I'm facing a Raptor with a few M3 escorts. The thing is, the Raptor keeps absolutely spamming missiles at me. First it fired 10 Hornet missiles, then it fired a few thunderbolts and hurricanes and then it spams Typhoons at me, and each of those Typhoons splits into its mini-missiles. This makes it really annoying and difficult to complete because my M3 can't dodge all of those at once and I only have so many mossies. Is this supposed to happen?
If it is, I'll have to make a note to bring an Ion with me next time.

Yeah, I *know* they're trying to kill you, but spamming missiles is just lame.
Seriously, I've had to lure his escorts away from him and I'm still trying to get him. Pulling tight maneuvers around his ship and hoping that the however many typhoon submunitions those things have (5 each? Making 10 missiles 50 of the damn things) hit him doesn't work...

1.
I've had no crash issues using only my own scripts and no mods but there's always the chance that it could be my script but more details are needed
2. Missiles
(don't take on a deathmatch fleet if you don't have the correct lasers and munitions, personally i use an m6 as it is not missile spam your facing but the DMA's having access to my Medusa plugin and rapid fire missile attack and defense options.)
If your finding it too hard change your ship or take a lower level, as i spent hours making sure it would challenge players at higher levels.
Also at higher levels the big ships have auto missile attack if you attack them, the key is to exhasut thier supplies first
3. Missing Hyperion, hmm as it stated you got a hyperion it doesn't appear to be a game bug, the prize ships are created in a close sector to fly to your dma sec and set as neutral race so if they happen to be created in a xenon sector the xenon don't trash them. which sector were you in?
