I get the message "We Are Being Hailed"

Ok, who is hailing me and how do I respond?

I suspect the problem is that you're watching star trek, not playing X3.

To test this, try to press 'j'. If everything speeds up, you're playing X3, if not then you need to go outside for a walk and some fresh air

No, no. I've had this before too. Check your messages log. I think there might be something there. Can't remember who it was from, or what it was about. But this definitely has happened before.

Yep I'm always getting that "you are being hailed", No sorry it was "you are hammered" generally accompanied by a kick and a few choice words

the alike things were reported before.. In X2 you could hear "We are hailed" in a plot mission when you see Saya by a jumpgate..

At X3 someone reported he was hailed by a capship captain too..

I think that it has to do with a script, maybe you purchased asteroid info, gate info or somwthing like that...

Or a script that tells you that one of your traders is in trouble???

Possibly UT or Sector Patrol. The Manual Trade Commands script uses that phrase too.

LV's Hull Repair Tech script will give you that message when the ship is done reapiding itself. (not a cheat, it's extremely expensive, not to mention you can only get the kits from BBS messages, that are extremely rare).

That's the only time I've heard it anyway.

I have also heard this call from `betty` when trying to jump to far
across the X-verse useing the `jump to position` script.

There is also a message in the log saying I have not enough energy for the jump.

Guess im a bit late but i think i know what it means.
I told one of my traders to sell Agnu beef for best price, and after that i got the "we are being hailed"-message every time. So, i checked my "inbox", and for every time i heard "we are..." i got a message from that trader saying that no one wants agnu beef in the sector he is in. So it probably means that you got a messege from one of your ships.. Or something like that!
