[Guide] X3 Handbook for Albion Prelude (v7 for Kindle)(v5 for PDF Download)

Hi apricotslice,
Nice one, lots of info in one place.
I agree with your decision on spellchecking, it would have taken the character out of the entries (and gives an excuse for your erors).
I suppose you will update it every day, as new information comes to light, or new mods/scripts are released (grin)....
Keep up the god work (intentional)
Have fun, and help the rest of us to enjoy X3,
Boron - Ol Fh'art

Figured I'd download this seeing as I've finally, after owning the game for about 2 months or so, started playing X3 (been far too addicted to X2
).
I have only skimmed it seeing as I want to try to discover as much as possible myself. A lot of reading here but I figure it will come in really useful at various points.
What I have read so far has been useful. So thank you, apricotslice, for the work that you've put into this and also to all the contributors who took the time to give the rest of us the benefit of their knowledge. I, for one, very much appreciate it
Thanks guys (and gals, if any)
Jon

You can find it here:

Anyway, that manual is a godsend.

Nice Handbook. Well written.
Could I be so bold as to make a couple of suggestions?
Firstly that while you are editing up the next edition that you'd consider making the font size quite a bit larger, even if it adds several pages to the doc. It'd be much more eye-friendly and easier to read.
Secondly, could you post a seperate link for the map please? It's be useful as a standalone document, maybe one page landscape A4 size in PDF to zoom into particular areas of detail.
Excellent handbook though.

Thankyou !Zarqwan wrote: Secondly, could you post a seperate link for the map please? It's be useful as a standalone document, maybe one page landscape A4 size in PDF to zoom into particular areas of detail.
Excellent handbook though.
The link to the maps home thread is at the beginning of the description for it, in the handbook.
Everything (just about) in there has a thread here, and the link is printed under the title.
The font was mostly what was used here, its just that the map and the larger pics all made the font look smaller, in order to get them in. Even then, the map lost a bit somehow in the final version and I didnt notice at the time.
Play around with reader, it has the ability to change the viewing zoom to some degree.

I havent seen one in a usable format.exelsiar wrote:how about a list of ship specs
Nor have I been inclined to compile one myself. If someone does, let me know.
The easiest way to check specs is to use the X3 editor and look at the files themselves. Compiling a list just takes a lot of methodical data extraction, and a lot of time, given how many ships there are.
