This is what I'll do, my mod is already using a new energy ware, so I'll make a second.

And, I previously reserved some stuff for a script I was writing. I reserved it because it was written in X2, nearly done, and I was just waiting on my DVD version of X3. Then my hard drive crashed so I lost 3 weeks of work. That's why it's been reserved for so long.

I will pack it into a zip, write a readme and release it within the hour. It's been done for a little while; I was waiting on something else.

aalaardb first ware conflict my bum :P
mine conflicted with that script changed it and it conflicted with another one :P

not fussed, gonna be changing mine into a BBS ware soon like cycrow's are, just need to figure out how to use them first :)

quick question

if its a mod why not edit one of the low priced wares up to the cost you want?

you can do that with a types file edit can't you?

I can, but command wares are not unlimited, twares are unlimited. If I use a command ware just to make my life easier, that leaves someone else out cold.

Unless I can ADD a new command ware, I'll have to check that.

Save as what I've already reserved, but now it is finally released!

Except, somehow special got changed to custom, so can you change that please.

It's a sticky one too, I tried to reserve it but failed, he released his before me, but mine is a remake of X2 mod, and neither of us can use a BBS workaround!

I will try to change how my mod works, he narrowly edged me out so he gets the rights!

I'm going to alter it anyway ..
just am a wee bit busy atm .. else it might have been changed already ..

could you temp. remove my script from the sticky ..
so aarlaardb can use/register the ware .. and I've got the time to redo the script ..

Nope :D

That's no problem if they conflict and two of them currently occupy the same slot.
That just tells users to expect an issue while using both, it won't cause the universe to self destruct.
Also, I'm not going thru the hassle of removing it and then re-adding it later.
The script as it exists right now is exactly as it is described in the conflict section.
Once you change it, post the updated info and I'll change it in the post. :)
That's easier for all of us, and it won't stop ppl that only want to use your script and don't care that it conflicts with aalaardb's currently from finding and using it. ;)

I just found out you can ADD a command ware (although it must be in the twaret file, or at least twaree didn't work).
Since my thingy is a mod already, I should do that and let someone else use the command slot.

It's funny how things work out sometimes; now no one wants rights to the ware!
Except maybe PapaTong, if you want the dubious honor of being the first person with a conflict go for it.

lol, not fussed, it is already conflicting with TECSG's script, lol, when i get time (after finish thie term at uni) gonna be changing it to BBS ware but atm i got FAR too much uni work to do (3 assignments for wednesday and am working most of that time :P))

now, i need a means to get rid of my insomnia, it's not fair, i start work in 4 hours and can't sleep :'(

new version off the RS.ESJC is up ..

now what it uses is;

textfile used; 8600
textpage used; 8600
command used; 1263

(it no longer uses ware; 5833)


ps; could you please correct the last part off name on the first page to 'control' ..

please add the complex manager in Complex Manager to the index and i'd be thankful if you could reserve the station command codes 1148 and 1149 in the overview

Would it be possible to reserve command codes 421, 422, 424,426 and the text id 8102 for the station trader script without adding it to the community scripts yet? Since there will be some more releases until it's called stable i wouldn't want to add it to the community scripts now but the having the ids would be nice.

Just a little pre-booking of my Lasertower_upgrade script download it

It uses 47002.xml, Command type Special_16, long name pid 2010, tid 516, short name pid 2011, tid 516


What it does:

As you know the Lasertowers in X3 all come with a 25 MJ shield but they can equip a 125 MJ shield. The script provides an additional special command which checks all deployed player-owned lasertowers for shields. If the shield is 25 MJ and if the player has sufficient credits then the 25 MJ are replaced by 125 MJ shields for the costs of 70116 cr (the difference of average price between 125 and 25 MJ shields).
