I hope this is a bug. I assume it is the aegis system, but god DAMN thats expencive.
Same problem and missing Crew when Upgraded from 2.11 following the readme. On first starting got a warning log that the command was disabled and no crew avaliable and the missing text file from the Old 2.11 version Hired Gunner crews upgrade.

Thank you - these "Bonus AAA #1 Super Happy Bonus Fun Packs" - nah prefer Plug-Ins - are the business.
Been looking forward to this one almost as much as the Patrol Script.

Oh no, the invasions are quite real, I've done around 5 of them so far, but even with all the money from these (I only do one at a time) I still have lots of stuff I need to buy before I can afford this luxury :D

Need to build up my UT fleet too - I only have 7 of them :)

I have not tried the Aegis system and gunners yet, but when looking at the costs:
-Finding personnel is a real big pain
-Aegis is a very expensive upgrade
-Personnel is quite expensive in salaries
-Personnel takes up 3 cargo space per unit. A fully manned M2 will cost you 3* ((6*15) + 50) = 420 cargo units :o

This stuff better be real good. :twisted:

The AEGIS system isn't needed to take advantage of the gunnery crews. It just provides extra features.
So we can hire gun crews without having to pay the 54 Million? :sceptic:

No you pay 54 million initially. Then you can choose either normal gunners(1500 each) or Aegis gunners(3000 each)

Do I have to start a new game for this to show up?? I've installed it and no aegis to buy and no crew to find. I've never used this before but I even tried the upgrade file reven had. No luck! I shouldn't have to run the script editor and start it that way do I? I realy don't want to do that

Heh .. nm .. found out what I was doing wrong .. it defaults to install in the egosoft directory .. I bought mine in canada and the install directory is enlight. Ignore me dumbness

Meh. No doubt this was a *hell* of a lot of work. Unfortunately the last thing I want is to make my ships 8 billion times better than anyone else's. The game is already too easy as it is IMO.

Now if the AI also had a system like this, that would be a tough nut to crack and no mistake.

Then all we need is for carriers to be able to multi-launch and then they may actually start being effective!

Anyone used this on an M6?

well it's installed properly now .. and I bought the aegis system .. but where do I get crew from? I heard it's from argon prime trading station or omicron lyrae trading station. I've been to both but there's no crew there. Am I doing something wrong or do I have to give them some time to stock from when I install it?

Umm .. wow!! I still haven't found any crew but I decided i'd go play in x472. Jump in and start jumping and weaving around the 4 k's that were close by trying to get one seperated from the pack .. manage this and get in close with my gppc's and gpsg's blazing .. and the K i'm attacking switches to ghepts and starts pummeling me! I managed to kill it but the hepts did some nasty damage to my hull, time to go find an invasion mission in getsu fune after that 30mill hull fix. Sure I could reload an earlier save.. but live and learn I always say!

I've never seen this before the gunnery crew patch! Looks like those K's might be just a little bit harder!

Just trying this script now...

Spotted a "Transport <T3/0-3" military transport ship carrying 100 Military Personnel heading for the Ringo Moon Trading station while flying through Home of Light. Ordered my carrier to jump to Ringo Moon & send a TP to dock with the station while also landing there myself. Quite dissapointed when the Transport ship docked and it's 100 on-board military personnel equated to just 5 available for purchase & said transport is now empty.

Don't know if this is a slight bug unless 95 were bought up in the 2 seconds it took for me to go to the purchase menu after the transport docked.

The other odd thing was that when this transport left the station it just disappeared & there was no Jump-Drive fitted, bizzare.

Oh well, guess I'd better keep searching...

carl - i was half wrong

I was wrong about the prices per gunner

I was right abput not needing the 54 million, apologies khanis :(

note that as well as personnel shuttles, there are munitions transports buying missiles for capital ships... unless this is just "sugar" (this is a Reven script so I doubt it) that leads me to believe there may be AI capital ships that are a bit smarter now...

What makes you think the XI is going to be any easier.....
