Version 9.00 (611726)
I've had the game for a week. I've put in just over 4 days of game time. I've had five CTD in that time and two in the past couple of hours. Three of them I had walked away while docked in station. Two of them, I was flying between zones and mining. After the previous one I updated my video card drivers, I launched the game, checked the prices of a few ships and made sure traders were doing their craft and my fighters haven't got into trouble. I took command of the BOR Minier to finished the last stage of the current mission and the game crashed. I did see the searching for options but nothing came of that.

Re: Crash To Desk
Your crashes are in random locations with no likely cause. You also have a 14th generation Intel CPU which has a known progressive fault affecting memory access, which has been frequently reported to result in exactly these kinds of the symptoms with the game. A BIOS update usually fixes the problem, provided that the fault hasn't developed to the point where the workaround in more recent BIOS versions no longer works.

Re: Crash To Desk
I ran into that issue with AoW4. Intel gave my processor a clean bill of health. I haven't checked if there's been a recent update for it since then.

Re: Crash To Desk
A few other things for you to look at at the same time:
• Your sound drivers are quite out of date. I'd suggest updating all of them, but disabling any you don't actually use. The Realtek one should be preferred as they are usually pretty stable.
• Perform a full file verification for the game using the Steam client.
• Make sure you don't have anything overclocked or otherwise over-tuned in your BIOS once you've updated it.
• Take a look at all the LiveKernelEvent entries in your Windows Error Reporting and see whether you can find out where they are coming from, as they suggest some kind of general system instability.

Re: Crash To Desk - Waiting For Response
I have a warranty claim to get the computer checked out. I wasn't able to find anything in the Event Viewer about the crashes.
