Can you still get the mission for the war of TRI against the others if you've already used diplomacy on them?

I have completed the Paranid unification storyline. But then a diplomatic event started (protocol Null running) about an incident between TRI and ZYA. Without thinking too much, I pushed them towards an escalation because screw the Split, all my homies hate the Split in this campaign. And when the event completed, I got the achievement "Cut the Paranid celebration short". It's been many hours since then, and I'm not getting any more progress on the Paranid storyline. The only thing Dal Busta told me was that the new Third Pontifex tricked us all somehow with the cocoons. I've never done the storyline before so I'm curious to see it, but is there a chance that it's broken now that I've set Split and Paranid against each other? Since the achievement popped up, I'm worried I might have broken some triggers.
