Spacesuit Bluetooth mod replacement or fix?

For a while now this mod doesn't seem to be working for me and I'm wondering if anyone has seen a mod which does similar or if there is a fix?

I remember a while back I was able to modify a file to increase the range and fix it that way but it doesn't seem to work any more.

For anyone who doesn't know, this mod increases the scan range of the spacesuit scanner so scanning for blueprints from EMP's and capturing abandoned ships is significantly less tedious.
