[#5867] Mission Bugged 9.00 Astronauts, Champions, Truth Seekers: Unable to Claim Litifious Rodent - Not Reproducible

Hi, I am playing the Cradle of Humanity mission: Astronauts, Champions, Truth Seekers right now, and it seems to have gotten bugged. I am at the part where you need to claim the Rodent ship, but it will not let me. I have tried space walking to claim it, but it won't give me docking permission. I have tried reloading my saves, which didn't work. I brought in another ship(one of my scouts) to try and claim it, but that didn't work. I tried approaching it from different angles. I tried scanning the data link on the bottom of the ship, and that didn't work. I'm out of ideas to try and fix it. If y'all could help me, that would be great, but at this point I think my file might need fixing beyond the suggestions of other players. This is, of course, the Cradle of Humanity DLC, and the mission briefing literally just says Claim: Litigious Rodent. If anyone could help me out, that would be great. Thanks y'all.

Please read the very first sticky thread here in this forum and provide all information as indicated there. In your case a saved game will be helpful to solve the issue.

"I tried scanning the data link on the bottom of the ship, and that didn't work" If there's a dataleak there then that is the bit that should usually work to claim the ship.

Check that mission guidance isn't telling you to do something else first as a pre-requirement to claiming the ship (eg find, open, destroy, etc).

Ok understood. Could you please tell me how I add a file because it will not let me add anything external right now; it only lets me send messages. Could you also tell me how I accsess the game file so that I can acquire it and then send it. Again, thanks for your help.

This is, of course, the Cradle of Humanity DLC, and the mission briefing literally just says Claim: Litigious Rodent. If anyone could help me out, that would be great.

The rodent must be repaired first. You'll also hear this instruction via voice prompt when you're close enough to the ship.
Has that been done? Only then can you board.

ok so i did see how to get the file yall wanted but I am still wondering where you would like for me to insert it because thiss reley box will not allow me to for some reason.

Once again, this is explained in the forum rules, which appear at the top of this forum, and again right in front of you every time you click the button to create a new post.

If you are supplying information that will not conveniently fit into posts in this forum (approx 70,000 character limit per post), in the worst case you can split long text files across 2 consecutive posts, or ideally you can upload the data to a reputable public fileshare site (a few examples are Google Drive, DropBox or PasteBin, etc) but please don't use sites that spam advertising or require registration for downloads. also i dont know if you could also tell me if Im doing something wrong with my Headquaters subonate miners because they are set to mine for the station but they are not even though there is adequate ice in the system and they are set up correctly to do so, If you have the time to look into that for me I would greatly appriate it and if not I totally understand and thank you again so much for yalls help you guys are life savers.

Perhaps equally important is your answer to Uwe Poppel's question as to whether you fully repaired the ship before trying to claim it, as that may be a mission requirement to be able to claim it.

Please don't add different issues in Tech Sp threads as only the devs relevant to the issue in the title will follow this thread. A different Tech Sp thread with a relevant title and the related supporting evidence is needed for a different issue that is an actual bug (rather than say a request for gameplay advice).

Got it I’ll figure out the miner stuff on my own or go to someone else but I did try repairing the ship while in the spacesuit after he said that and it unfortunately did not fix the issue.

Hello. I investigated your issue and save and was not able to reproduce the issue.

Upon returning to the Asteroid Base, flying through it, and inspecting the Litigious Rodent, it had a Signal Leak. Upon scanning it, the ship was claimed, and the mission progressed as intended.

You should be able to continue the plot by doing the same.
