I'm not actually sure if it's limited to the Gorgon. I inspected a Nemesis, but it has no printable surface underneath.

Whether modded would have been handy for the devs to know before trying out the save. However, I can confirm the reported belly ID issue with a PAR Gorgon Vanguard in my vanilla 9.00 game (using my own save).
