Paranid plot lore; what did Boso, Dal, and the player do with the Paranid cocoons?

So, during the Paranid plot, when the player is on the Apotheosis station, Boso teleports the Paranid cocoons off of the station before the player makes the decision to either destroy it, or preserve it. As an aside, at first I thought those cocoons were supposed to be Pontifices, but I've also read that they're Paranid High Priests. I guess they each have the potential to be a Pontifex, for sure. Regardless, that's not my point, even if it's an interesting question.

If I am not mistaken, when the player chooses Paranid unification (Trinity faction), and does not destroy the station, the fate of the Paranid cocoons is made known, to a small extent. The Duke of the Buccaneers uses them to afirm himself as the new Pontifex of the Trinity.

I have not, however, heard anything about the fate of the cocoons if the player chooses to create the Duke's Tempest by destroying the station. I haven't progressed yet past the point of building the Tempest's shipyard, Duke's Haven. I either missed a reference to the fate of the cocoons at this point in the plot branch, or they haven't yet told the player.

Given that I've never heard or seen any discussion on it, I'm under the impression that they don't explain the fate of the cocoons on this branch. Is that so? I may very well be wrong on that. If I am wrong, can anyone tell me what Boso, Dal, and the player supposedly did with the cocoons that they grabbed? Or, if nothing else, what you think we are supposed to have done with them?

After completing the Duke's Haven part of the Paranid plot, the narrative does indeed tell you exactly what happens to the cocoons!
