[DUP][#5692][9.0 BUG] Keep Exiting Travel Mode While in Autopilot

v9.0 English, No mods, Young Gun Start

While in autopilot my piloted ship will randomly drop out of travel mode. Nothing around to trigger collision (ships, asteroids, stations, lockboxes, etc), ship traveling in a straight line without changing direction, and "Maintain Speed In Menus" setting is turned on. Seems to be happening about 20-30 seconds after reaching max speed.

I have also seen this problem. At first I thought it was related to toggling the map, but then it started happened while I was just cruising between stations. I wasn't pressing any buttons, there were no obstacles or ships around, I just randomly dropped out of travel mode. This happens with or without autopilot active.

in my case it stops speed and starts again, w/o anything near. on a 200km flight it made like 2-3 times

Same for me. Hyperion starts. No mods.
Autopilot it's pretty dumb. It doesn't want to go on highways, it often exits travel mode, misses the Jump gate or goes around it.

Is this a corrupted save issue or a bug with the current version. Or is there an issue with that specific ship?

New game, no mods.
Again, the autopilot missed the jump gate, went around it, and stopped at the side. Is there any update planned to fix this?
The last time I played (vers. 8.0 I think) the autopilot problems weren't that frequent.
It's quite annoying plus the frequent deactivation of travel mode in open space for no reason.

I came here to report the same bug. I've noticed poorer autopilot performance with lots of ships but especially the Hyperion. Keeps dropping out of travel drive for no reason. Didn't do that pre-9.0

I'm having the same problem. While in autopilot and travel drive is on, the drive will randomly abort and then after a few seconds begin to spool up again. Sometimes I see the autopilot will twitch the ship when this happens but not every time. It occurs very intermittently, a trip across a sector might not trigger it or it might trigger 3 times. There is never anything near the ship when it happens. I'm also not actively doing anything when it happens.

I've tested this on several different new vanilla saves. I've verified the installed files. I'm running the default public version. And now I'm out of ideas of what else to check.

I unsubscribed from all my steam mods and verified my game files. I'm running v9.0 611726. For this I used the Spear of the Patriarch start. Once I was in the game I started autpilot to the farthest destination on the map and then just scrolled on my phone until I heard the travel drive abort prematurely. The save file is 1 second after that point.

As I stated in an earlier post, this is a very intermittent problem. In this test I had to cross the available sectors 3 times before it triggered. Other times I've observed it triggering multiple times in a single sector. It never triggers when autopilot is off. It it often (but not always) accompanied by some kind of twitch or jerk movement, often in the roll direction. I have autoroll turned off. I'm playing with M+K. I also have the setting to keep speed up in menues turned on. I've confirmed that this occurs in other ships and in other game starts. It also happens with flight assist turned off. I can't figure out what is triggering it and I'm out of ideas.

If I understand correctly, the AI ​​interrupts its movement to reposition itself slightly along a trajectory.

I realized this was happening when it was following another ship along the exact same path. Once, my ship even rammed into the rear of an NPC ship that was traveling in the same direction.
