Required Information in all Technical Support Requests

If you are supplying information that will not conveniently fit into posts in this forum (approx 70,000 character limit per post), in the worst case you can split long text files across 2 consecutive posts, or ideally you can upload the data to a reputable public fileshare site (a few examples are Google Drive, DropBox or PasteBin, etc) but please don't use sites that spam advertising or require registration for downloads. Platform: Linux / Ubuntu
Modified status: Vanilla / unmodified
DLCs enabled: All but timelines
Mission: Casino module research mission

I have a vanilla save that appears soft-locked.

The casino mission objective requires scanning faction data leaks. One required data leak spawned on or inside the rotating Teladi trade station ring. The marker is visible, but the leak cannot be scanned.

Things I tried:

* Teleporting in and out of sector
* Activating/deactivating the mission
* Spacesuit scanning
* Pegasus Vanguard and other agile S ships
* Holding the ship nose directly on the highlighted leak for several seconds
* Creating new signal leaks with EMPs on the station

None of these completed the objective. The ship gets no chirp/signal from the highlighted leak, so it seems the actual scan point is unreachable or buried inside station geometry.

Reloading before the leak was generated is not practical because that save is many hours old.

Suggested fix:
For this casino research objective, please consider accepting any valid data leak scanned on a habitation module belonging to the required faction, instead of requiring only the exact mission-spawned leak. That would allow players to create a valid EMP leak and avoid soft-locks caused by invalid leak placement on rotating station geometry.

Could someone please repair this save while preserving vanilla/unmodified status, or confirm whether this bug can be handled by a future cleanup script?

This is an old one that the devs know about but haven't managed to fix yet (Bugtracker [#1323]). There might be capital ship or other workarounds in or linked in that thread.
